shortcut to port off-site image data into on-site generator ("Apply Parameters" button)

My discovery: an automated way to port the data from off-site images into the on-site generator
(subtitle: why I'm mad at me)
I'm kicking myself. Very hard.
It's long bothered me how on Civit's on-site generator (unlike some other interfaces), whenever I want to remix an image from elsewhere (either from off-site, or my own old gens) there's no quick way to port the gen setup over, and I have to tediously manually enter all its info into the civit on-site generator. Unlike the one-step "Remix" button for any on-site images.
But now, voila! I discovered Civit DOES have an automated way for the off-site images too. ARGHH.
How To in detail
(subtitle: a secret; revealed.)
If you paste the full gen data from any image onto the positive prompt field in the civit on-site generator, an "Apply Parameters" button pops up. And it automatically ports and applies that image's parameters into the appropriate fields.
So, for example once you have the info (like: pos prompt, neg prompt, sampler, steps, and seed) in your clipboard, all you need to do is, STEP ONE copy it onto the positive prompt field, and STEP TWO hit that "apply parameters" button that pops up (at the field's bottom). And voila, in 2 easy steps all the info is automatically ported into its place.
anyone know if this is a new feature?
(subtitle: but HOW HARD to kick?)
I'm mostly posting this article in hope of saving fellow users all that tedium and frustration (did i mention "ARGH" yet?) I went thru myself now. But I do have two questions:
Is this a new feature, or I'm right to be kicking myself so hard for missing out on it for two WHOLE years?
anyone know a way to do this for the models too?
(subtitle: pleeeaase, tell me there's a shortcut for the rest too!)
And does anyone know if there's also a way to automatically do the remainder of the tedious work: automatically loading all the image's models onto the civit generator page?
(P.S. yes, i do think the banner pic is marvelously thematic.)
