The Trees: An Exploration of Light, Structure, and Emergence

The Trees is a generative art series born from a fascination with form, energy, and surreal digital life (or something like that 😉). Each piece presents a glowing tree - minimal yet complex, organic yet alien - standing alone in the void. These are not trees as we know them, but as they might exist in a parallel, subconscious network of light and thought.
You can explore the wohle series with lots of images and a few videos on my profile.
Concept
The tree is a powerful archetype: it connects earth to sky, roots to crown, body to spirit. In this series, I reimagine that symbol as something neural and luminous - a conduit of energy and memory rather than matter. These trees grow not from soil, but from silence.
Each image evokes a feeling of reverence, mystery, and digital spirituality.

From the two images above I created videos with KlingAI:
Tools & Process
The images of the series were created using Flux Pro 1.1 (here on Civitai). The Flux prompt I used for the two images above:
“A surreal, luminous tree made entirely of delicate, glowing neural-like threads or fibers, standing in a dark, minimalist environment. The tree’s trunk is dense with tightly interwoven strands, gradually branching out into an intricate, radial halo of fine, vein-like filaments that form a perfect circular crown. The roots extend organically across the ground like tendrils, disappearing into a misty floor. The entire structure appears to be pulsing with subtle light, as if alive with energy or thought. The atmosphere is quiet, mysterious, and almost sacred — like a living neural network or a symbolic tree of knowledge, rendered in soft white against a dark gray or black background. The lighting is ambient and subtle, creating a ghostly aura around the tree and emphasizing its otherworldly form.”

After that, I used the images in KlingAI 1.6. - I specifically chose version 1.6 because it allows setting a custom end frame. I placed the image there and let Kling do the magic. The KlingAI prompt I used for that:
“Begin with a deep black void. Slowly, ethereal glowing tendrils begin to emerge from the darkness, twisting and branching like delicate roots. Over 10 seconds, a luminous, leafless tree made of pure light gradually grows upward, its trunk forming first, then splitting into an intricate network of glowing branches and roots. The tree emits a soft white-blue light, with digital, fiber-optic threads extending from its limbs like a living neural network. Mist gathers at the base. The scene ends with the tree fully formed, glowing majestically in the void, radiating energy and stillness.”
This prompt became a ritual of emergence - transforming nothingness into intricate architectures of light, in a way that felt both biological and dreamlike. It was less animation, more a quiet ritual of emergence—where the void remembered itself and unfolded into living form. - (sounds like a wet esoteric dream, I guess ... 😄)
And yeah, of course I used ChatGPT to write the prompts (made a few edits, though) - and also all the esoteric stuff in this article. 😄

Thats it! Have fun, guys!
