Black Cherry - Where My Music and Visual Worlds Meet

Hi, I’m Cosmic Solidarity. 🖤

Most of what I create starts with something small, an image in my head, a mood, a character, a sound, and I just follow it. I mainly do this because I enjoy experimenting and seeing what those ideas can become. Every once in a while, one of them grows into something I want to keep exploring.

Ruby was one of those ideas. 🍒

She started as a character I enjoyed creating, but over time I kept coming back to her. Her look, her personality, and the atmosphere around her slowly began to take on a life of their own.

That eventually led to Black Cherry.

The song lives in that space between sweetness and danger, attraction and uncertainty, beauty and everything hidden beneath the surface.

I wanted Ruby’s voice to feel controlled and hypnotic rather than overly aggressive. There’s confidence in the way she carries herself, but there’s also always the sense that there is more to her than what you see at first.

The Visualizer

The visual side of Black Cherry was created to feel like part of the song rather than simply an image placed behind the music.

Ruby’s world is filled with black cherry reds, deep burgundy, crimson reflections, dark shadows, and sleek futuristic details. I wanted the visuals to carry the same atmosphere as the song, dark, intimate, confident, and a little mysterious.

One of the things I have been enjoying most is seeing how one idea can move through different forms.

A character can begin as a single image, inspire another scene, turn into a story, influence a song, and then come back again through animation or a visualizer.

That process has become one of my favorite parts of creating.

I never really know exactly where an idea is going when I start it. Sometimes it stays as one image. Sometimes it becomes something much bigger.

Ruby definitely became something bigger.

Black Cherry is only one part of Ruby’s world.

I’m still developing her, experimenting with new visuals, writing more music, and seeing where the story takes me.

There are also plenty of other characters, ideas, and strange little worlds I want to explore along the way.

For me, that is really what all of this is about.

Having an idea, having fun with it, and seeing how far I can take it.
