“Best of Showcase” image board suggestion

The Buzz Beggars board is one of the best things on this site, even if you do not need the buzz. When people post to this image board they are trying their best to appeal to the audience, and they have a limited numbers of images to do this with. This results in people only submitting their best works, and the board ends up being a diverse collection of good images. The Buzz Beggars board seems to give all images in it a fair amount of exposure, and botting interactions doesn’t change that. The Buzz Beggars board provides real and fair competition against other people’s best work. I’d be nice to have a board that builds upon these good ideas, and allows for more diverse content.
I would really like to try a new "Best of Showcase” board. It would be as follows:
People can submit 1 image for each rating (PG, PG-13, R, X, and XXX) to this board. The images can only be submitted to this board one time, and will remain on display on the board for a week. The images on the board would be displayed randomly so there is fair exposure of all the images on the board. People would use the site's filter to filter out images from ratings they do not want to see.
Civit would weekly award buzz randomly to a small number of people who submitted an image to this board that week. Don’t get hung up on the numbers, but something like 10 people would get 1000 buzz for posting. If buzz is awarded for any specific metric it can be gamed, but if it’s a random participation award the worst that’d happen is some people would be lazy with their image selection. Having one-off lazy images is still way better than the normal feed. Plus the next idea will prevent people from being lazy about it. While people can have up to 6 images on this board at one time (one for each rating) they only need to submit one image to gain entry for the buzz draw (if each image was an entry it'd motivate more low grade spam).
Civit would weekly award buzz randomly to a small number of people who tipped an image on this board. Again, don’t get hung up on the numbers, but if someone tips at least 10 buzz to an image on this board they also have a chance at winning 1000 buzz that week. It would count as a separate entry, for separate draw, so technically you could win twice (once for posting an image, and once for tipping). Even with this incentive in place I’m sure people will still look for images they like when tipping. This might result in many people giving small tips to the images on this board. Seeing as there is once again motivation to have the best image, most posts would be people’s best work. Civit could take a small % of the buzz tipped on this board to prevent people from passing buzz from account to account and to make this a sustainable idea for them (something like 10% of what is tipped is deducted and the rest goes to the image creator)
People hoping to “win the lottery” would tip, and the tips would go to people who’s art work is actually good. The small selection of images would give a lot of people’s artwork exposure which means more people would check your profile if they liked what they saw on the “Best of Showcase” board. The board itself would be a diverse collection of some of the best artwork on the site that is organically assembled by the site's user base, so it would be enjoyable for anyone to browse.

It really would be nice to have something like the Buzz Beggars board that doesn’t require a PG rating and a yellow lightning bolt on every image. First and foremost I want a place that shows only the best artwork of many people with equal exposure. If it'd work with no buzz in the equation maybe that'd be a better idea? You can all fight about it down below :P and hopefully someone from Civiti will see this and let us try this idea out (with or without the buzz incentive)
