New Feature: Image Searchn't *Updated*

Update 4: They're planning to turn off the maintenance notice without restoring the search. I can only assume it's in hopes people will forget about image search so they don't have to bring it back.

Update 2 and Good News: According to a quick update from Ellie on the help discord "In regard to image search, it's down for maintenance. No ETA when we'll have it back up. I've ask a dev to have this show on the website. Most I can say is image search was causing problems™" It seems it will return eventually. The original text of the article is being preserved below.

Update 3: This commit (not yet deployed as of this update) confirms the image search removal was intentional and is going to be temporary. How temporary? 🤷‍♂️

Have you noticed that no images in the image search are newer than the 14th of September? There's a reason for that. This commit and it's merged pull request "retired" the image search index (though it looks like it had already been dead for 3 days). Meaning until either a replacement is put in place, or the index is un-retired no new images will be searchable on site.

It is also supposed to redirect the image search to the model search the same way the video page does, but it clearly isn't doing that.

Edit: I'm calling this a feature because that's what the PR was labeled.
