The automated "Minor" text scan on Civitai is getting completely out of hand

I’m honestly beyond frustrated with the current automated moderation system on Civitai.

Today, my model was automatically flagged as depicting a minor with the following system reason: "Our text scan said: Miku Nakano is a high school student in The Quintessential Quintuplets, so she is under 18 in canon."

Let’s break down why this automated logic is fundamentally flawed:

    1. Canon Ignorance: In canon, The Quintessential Quintuplets literally ends with a timeskip where all five sisters are grown-up working adults (around 22+ years old at the wedding). Reducing an entire character to a rigid "under 18 forever" rule ignores canon progression entirely.

    2. False Positives Across the Board: It’s not just Miku—even adult male characters like Touka Scott (The Legendary Hero Is Dead!) are getting slapped with the "MINOR" tag out of nowhere.

    3. The Bot Problem: Creators spend hours cleaning datasets, curating tags, and training high-quality LoRAs, only for a blunt regex/text bot to shadow-restrict or flag our models without human nuance.

Having to appeal and wait for manual moderator reviews for obvious false positives hurts reach, buzz earnings, and creator motivation. We need common sense and better criteria in automated moderation, not a bot that flags every anime character who has ever stepped into a fictional classroom.
