Kohya is gone and what’s next

Hey Guys,

so, I wanted to keep training using Kohya, but now the option to select it is gone. They removed the ability to use Kohya, what a shame.

This means, I can’t create any more models or versions for the time being, as I firmly believe that the combination of Illustrious and Kohya is significantly better than Illustrious and AI Toolkit.

I’m waiting for an alternative that will allow me to continue training with Kohya. Doing this on my own PC is extremely labor-intensive, which is precisely why I started using CivitAI in the first place. It was so straightforward.

It’s an absolute outrage that they’ve not only dropped support but also taken away our ability to train using what I consider a far superior engine.

I might release an AI Toolkit model or two, but as things stand, they will never reach the quality of Kohya.
What’s your take on this? I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts and where do you train your models/LoRAs?
