Maximizing Computer Resources: A Guide to Expanding RAM

New models like "Flux" are pushing our devices to their limits, making your room feel like a sauna thanks to those high GPU temperatures. And, of course, it had to arrive in the middle of summer—just our luck. But hey, everyone loves it anyway.

Did you know "Flux" is the baby of "AuraFlow"? Just trained on some amazing new data!

    Whatever...

    Let's go...

Swap space can help when your system runs low on physical RAM. Here's how to set it up:

    Swap Size Guidelines:

    - For <8GB RAM: Use swap equal to RAM

    - For 8-16GB RAM: Use 0.5x to 1x RAM

    - For >16GB RAM: 16GB swap is often sufficient

    Linux:

    1. Check current swap:

    free -h

    2. Create a swap file:

    sudo fallocate -l 4G /swapfile

Adjust size based on your needs and system resources.

    3. Set permissions and initialize:

    sudo chmod 600 /swapfile
    sudo mkswap /swapfile

    4. Enable swap:

    sudo swapon /swapfile

    5. Make it permanent:

     sudo nano /etc/fstab

    and add:

/swapfile none swap sw 0 0 #check some linux already made that

    Windows:(no warranty i'm not windows user )

    1. Open Advanced System Settings

    2. Click "Settings" under Performance

    3. Go to "Advanced" tab, click "Change" under Virtual Memory

    4. Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size"

    5. Choose a drive and select "Custom size"

    6. Set Initial and Maximum size (typically 0.5 - 1x your RAM)

    7. Click "Set", then "OK"

    8. Restart your computer
