    HOW TO INSTALL:

    Copy the file 4x-UltraMix_Smooth.safetensors inside the folder: stable-diffusion/models/ESRGAN or ComfyUI/models/upscale_models

    Restart/Reload you Stable Diffusion instance

    The upscaler should be visible for hi-res and extras tabs

    is it possible to make a safetensors version of this? (forgive me if that's a stupid question, am newbie)

    Technically it is possible to convert any pickletensor to safetensor, will do some research and attempt this! I'll get back to you with the result <3

    From my quick test: Balanced gives you sharp with very little noise reduction, so you don't get that stupid smooth look, it's more photo-like. Restore has nice sharps and the noisy bits are slightly smooth unlike balanced where the noise gets sharpened a little bit. Specifically these models work well for skin detail. Smooth sharpens things less than the last two. Going to go with restore because it's has a nice balance of sharpness and noise reduction.
