Nina Persson (b. 1974) is a Swedish musician, best known as lead singer of the indie pop band the Cardigans. Born in Örebro and raised in Jönköping, she was attending art school when the Cardigans formed. After two successful albums in Sweden, their 1996 album First Band on the Moon was a global smash, led by the inescapable single "Lovefool." Persson has also released two albums through her side project A Camp (which includes her husband, Shudder to Think guitarist Nathan Larson) and one under her own name.
She is, as far as I can tell, no relation to the Swedish Instagram model Nina Sophie Persson, though Sweden's a small place and they're probably distant cousins of some sort.
