TL;DR: This is a DMD2 LoRA = use CFG 1 and 8-12 steps (even if i personally prefer 16 steps, that's still half of what i usually use and i get my pictures in 30s instead of 80s).

    Quick clarification:

    • V1 is using turbo 0.1

    • V2 is using turbo 0.2

    • V1.5 is using a merge of 0.1 and 0.2

    • V3 is based on anima-turbo-v1.0

    • V2.9 is based on anima-turbo-v1.0 and turbo 0.2

    • All of them has been merged with the revised cosmos2.5 DMD2 LoRA

    • Yes, you can use CFG 1.2, 1.4, etc... you may need to add more steps then (that's why i do 16).

    V2.9

With more extensive tests and help from heavy user of the previous version, it was clear that V3 was killing LoRA when used. So, here is V2.9, a step back to previous turbo for the sake of a better compatibility with LoRA.

Recipe (merge done at Rank 128/64):

    • Cosmos2.5 DMD2 LoRA: 0.3

    • Extract Turbo V1.0 LoRA: 0.2

    • Turbo v0.2 LoRA: 0.4

Then, all this went through my compressor (MAXDIM 64, CUTOFF 98) to get this slightly heavier LoRA, but providing from my first tests better results. 🥰

    V3

With Anima-turbo-v1.0 officially out, i knew some people would ask about an update. So here it is! I switched my approach here as this is a full model we are talking about. First, i merged base and turbo at 50/50 to get "half-turbo" in which i merged the Cosmos2 LoRA at 0.5 to get "custom-turbo". V3 is a LoRA extraction of "custom-turbo" minus "base".

    V1.5

Borrowing a book from @kai and for the people not satisfied by 0.1 and 0.2 and wanted something in the middle, i did a merge of official 0.1 and 0.2 before doing the merge with the cosmos2.5 distilled LoRA. This end being a version between V1 and V2 = V1.5. This will probably be the last version except if a 0.3 version of the official LoRA comes out (and/or if a full distilled version of ANIMA base is released). NB: this version feels more sensitive to watermarks, you can use CFG 1.2-1.4 to be able to add a negative.

    V2

By popular demand, here is a V2 of this LoRA based on the V0.2 of the source turbo LoRA. 😘

    V1

This is my "personal" brand of the classic ANIMA Turbo LoRA, based on the DMD2 method.

There is already several "Turbo" LORA for ANIMA:

But interesting enough, someone had the idea to make and test a LoRA using the original Cosmos-Predict2.5 architecture: https://civarchive.com/models/2466415/cosmos-predict25-2b-base-distilled-extracted-dmd2-lora

The main process was: extract (using SVD) a LoRA out of "Distilled Cosmos" minus "Original Cosmos" and test it on ANIMA... and it works! (even if some keys are refused because they changed shape in ANIMA). Below is a comparaison of what those bring to the table (RDBT is very close to the base Turbo and so was excluded).

Now, what is did is "stupid" = Merge those two 😁 (i left RDBT alone as sharing merge is forbidden).

To do so, i re-keyed both LoRA and do a re-rank of the resulting merge (32/16 instead of 64/64+32/32). The ratio was 6/4.

This way, i get more details but with a less saturated result.

And it works perfectly with nArnima V2:

    Thanks for reading! 💖

V3 is amazing! The prompt adherence is through the roof!

What strength do you recommend with the V3 Lora? Also what is the revised Cosmos Predict 2.5 DMD2 LoRA? Thank you for all your great hard work as always 🙏

I usually go for strength 1 and i use 0.8-0.9 only if something is failing. The "revised" LoRA is a fixed version of this LoRA: https://civitai.red/models/2466415/cosmos-predict25-2b-base-distilled-extracted-dmd2-lora (basically a very few key naming change and a key deleted)

@n_Arno what are your personal opinions on the new official Anima turbo model? I don't really like it as it seems worse and less stable than the anima base with turbo Lora

@AnimaXx I haven't tried it extensively yet, as i was working on other model currently, but it feels like the "aesthetic" they wanted to stabilise with it made it sligthly incompatible with base-v1.0 trained LoRA. In my first few try, i immediatly detected a style change that i feel like was mitigated using the cosmos2 lora (which BTW as been re-extracted and adapted by @spicykatsu together with their own version of the Turbo LoRA.)

It can be worth testing multiple such to find your prefered turbo version, i don't expect mine to be the "best" for everyone, i made it for me before anything else, i am just happy it is well liked by others 💜

What i'll bring in a near future in any case is a set of tool to extract/merge LoRA (with other LoRA or with checkpoints) to allow more people testing this (there is some nodes in Comfy to do so i think, but no "easy" tool like the own available for SDXL et al)

i don't understand somethings here, so the turbo v1.0 come out and the Aesthetic v1.0 come out, so V3 is for turbo v1.0 model or still just for anima base model? or cane we use V3 for Aesthetic model or not?

You can basically use whatever you want on whatever you want, it's all testing at this point :D

Turbo V3 is based on turbo v1.0 minus base v1.0, aesthetic v1.0 and v1.0b never got involved on my end. Now, if turbo v1.0 has been distilled on top of aesthetic (which i suspect, even if it was not mentionned), it could be overkill out of the box, but the cosmos2 added influence may mitigate that.

PS: turbo V3 is for "non-turbo" anima models, whatever they are. Using turbo on top of a turbo including model will yield strange stuff :D

Thanks a lot for the update!

Been testing for a while now and v3 at 1.0 weight follows the prompt better than v1.5.

    Caveats:

    - I only tested manual prompts for less than 100 images, then the rest (~1000 images) were prompts that heavily rely on wildcards. I only have a few pose and outfit wildcards atm, that's why the examples in my two newest posts are repetitive.

    - The only thing constant in my wildcard-based prompt is dutch angle and in v3 I got a lot more results in that angle compared to v1.5.

    - Euler produces a lot of noise on my end, which only occurred on certain artist tags prior to using v1.5. And v1.5 pretty much eliminated the noise problem. So, I tested several sampler and scheduler combos and ended up with SA Solver + Simple. The noisy or oversaturated images in my post are the ones that didn't use SA Solver + Simple.

    - I got a lot of overcooked images in v3 compared to v1.5 in my early tests, so I lowered the strength of the usual LoRAs I'm stacking.

I'll test inpainting, editing, outpainting, and USDU later - hopefully I won't need to change my parameters since I really like v3 more than v1.5 and would like to keep using v3. Thanks again :)

Wow, thanks a lot for your extensive tests! I also feel like V3 is a bit too strong and overpower some LoRA, i'll have to try a new approach for later. 💜

@n_Arno Thank you too! And wow, thanks for the buzz! And you're welcome :)

Even if it's quite strong, v3 is still great on my end, since the LoRAs I'm using are just quality enhancers (for detail/background/lighting) - I'm not using the @ tag of GPT Image 2 in my prompt and I only rely on the built in artist tags. Not sure about other LoRAs though since I don't really use anything else. haha

    Thanks again :)

    @n_Arno

Been busy, so I only just finished tests on inpainting, outpainting, and USDU.

    - I didn't see any noticeable difference between in v1.5 and v3.0 when inpainting and outpainting.

    - As for USDU, v1.5 produces better eyes imo. Please refer to my post for the comparison.

    Caveats:

    - I only changed the LoRA weights, and the sampler and scheduler combo, but I still got the same results - the difference between v1.5 and v3.0 eyes is still pretty obvious.

    - I did not touch USDU-specific settings such as upscale model, upscale factor, and denoise levels to avoid having too much variables to take into account since my 1660 Ti takes more than one hour for the full 3-pass USDU workflow.

    - I haven't tested v3.0 on a third USDU pass.

So yeah, I'll keep using v1.5 for USDU and v3.0 for everything else. Again, thanks a lot! :)
