If you are using auto 1111, simply add the danbooru extension and type whichever tags you want and select from the options. Ofc normal sd words work as well

This model is the fp16 version. You can get a normal pruned version on the official site of Anything v3 on Huggingface (Anything-V3.0-pruned). Using that instead will give you subtly better quality images.

Edit: Due to Discord drama the author has taken this down. Here is a mirror to Fileditch (which sadly randomized the file name, sorry about that)

No worries, Anything v3 still has its place! I read on Huggingface there was Discord drama, making the author take it down. And that Anything "v4" is just a remerge with other models like BerryMix. So not really that new.

Assuming you are using Automatic1111/stable-diffusion-webui, just download the VAE file, and then place it in:
./stable-diffusion-webui/models/VAE/

On the settings tab, select "Stable Diffusion" from the left, then look for the SD VAE section.
Your installed VAE files should be in the drop down list. If they aren't click the little blue refresh button to the right of the drop down and it should appear.

Select the VAE you want, and then remember to click the orange "Apply Settings" at the top of the page. This will load the VAE file into the active session, and that's it, you're done.

Anything v4 and v4.5 are troll models and will shift the style away from a more traditional anime one, so stick with this one if you like the style. Or check out OrangeMixs or 7th Layer repos on HuggingFace for alternatives for anime style or more semi-real.

virus detected, the same with 4.0 vae. Got a message that trojan win32 was detected on my sd folder and deleted it immediately, after had been using it for a couple of weeks. I'm scared.

Had the same thing happen to me. I looked on the stable diffusion reddit and saw people were talking about it there too. One person said that it's probably just windows defender making an oopsie but I don't want to risk it. I ran the Anything 3 VAE and windows defender detected it as a virus and then I tried to switch to orangemix.vae it did the same

rn it happen for a lot of vae files like anything v4, anything v3 and orangemix also with other vae, tbh i cannot say if it's a true malware or just windows defender being windows defender

@Yukana yeah apparently new windows defender update, was happening everywhere not just with this. Avast detects nothing, and I had these vaes for weeks until it popped up this message out of nowhere after the update. I just excluded them and kept going, probably a false positive, that's what everyone is saying.
