It remains an optional fallback for older videos or missing metadata, and now skips matching prompts, settings, and exact resource versions already detected by Civitai. For ComfyUI videos, the companion Video Saver nodes support Civitai’s native metadata detection and this extension’s fallback features: <a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver">https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver</a><hr /><hr /><h3 id="tired-of-copying-and-pasting-parameters-like-prompt-and-loras-used-when-uploading-a-video-on-civitai">Tired of copying and pasting parameters like prompt and LoRas used when uploading a video on Civitai?? </h3>It's been published on FireFox now: <a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/civitai-video-metadata-assist/">https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/civitai-video-metadata-assist/</a><h3 id="use-my-image-saver-fork-video-saver-to-save-videos-with-proper-lora-and-prompt-metadata:-https:github.comdiodiogodcomfyui-video-saverthen-install-the-browser-extension-it-will-show-up-automatically-on-upload-page-all-you-need-is-drop-the-video-(with-metadata)-and-it-will-fill-the-forms-for-you:https:github.comdiodiogodcivitai-video-metadata-assistantmore-importantly-there-is-already-a-pr-to-add-native-mp4-and-webm-metadata-detection-directly-to-civitai:">Use my image-saver fork video-saver to save videos with proper lora and prompt metadata: <a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver">https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver</a> Then install the browser extension, it will show up automatically on upload page, all you need is drop the video (with metadata) and it will fill the forms for you: <a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://github.com/diodiogod/Civitai-Video-Metadata-Assistant">https://github.com/diodiogod/Civitai-Video-Metadata-Assistant</a> More importantly, there is already a PR to add native MP4 and WebM metadata detection directly to Civitai:</h3><a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://github.com/civitai/civitai/pull/3307">https://github.com/civitai/civitai/pull/3307</a>If you want proper video metadata support on Civitai, consider leaving a reaction or constructive comment on that PR. Civitai Video Metadata Assistant for Uploading Videos - Browser extension

We no longer need this extension. Yet it might have some use for some people. Civitai finally can read video metadata from the workflow: <a target="_blank" rel="ugc" href="https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver/releases/tag/v1.27.0">https://github.com/diodiogod/ComfyUI-Video-Saver/releases/tag/v1.27.0</a> Anyway on this version: - Compare each video's existing Civitai metadata and fill only missing or different prompts and settings. - Skip resource searches for exact versions already attached, including resources hidden behind Show All. - Describe the extension as an optional fallback for video
