EROTIC is a bidirectional SDXL concept slider for controlling the erotic potential of a scene. And apparently checkpoints have opinions about this. Some need encouragement. Some were already thinking about it.Some have been waiting all day for you to ask.At positive weights, EROTIC looks for whatever the checkpoint already understands as erotic — gaze, posture, proximity, tension, nudity, body language, expression, interaction, framing, implied intent — and turns up the gain.It does not impose one fixed erotic style. What happens depends enormously on the checkpoint underneath it.On a general-purpose checkpoint like Juggernaut, a mundane scene may remain stubbornly mundane until around +2 or +3 unless you leave a little suggestion in the prompt: erotic energy, sexual tension, etc. Once the checkpoint sees the potential, the slider tends to run with it.Adult-oriented checkpoints are another animal entirely. On models with large existing erotic priors, even +0.1 can be enough to change the temperature of a scene. By +1 or +2 they may already be approaching their natural limit. Think less “adding erotica” and more taking the governor off.The result is very checkpoint-dependent, which turned out to be half the fun.
Weight guidance
A practical overall range is roughly -2 to +3, but do not assume the same weight means the same thing on every checkpoint.Positive

+0.1 to +1
— subtle on general models; sometimes plenty on strongly adult-oriented checkpoints.

+1 to +2.5
— increasingly obvious changes in gaze, pose, interaction, expression, intimacy and scene energy.

+2.5 to +3
— strong territory. Composition may begin changing, especially with groups.

Above
+3
— experimentation only. People may multiply, disappear, rearrange themselves, discover entirely new hobbies, or eventually cook the rendering.

Negative Negative weights act more like a cooling influence than an anti-erotic switch. They may:

reduce erotic posing or tension,

encourage somewhat more clothing,

make interactions less charged,

calm a checkpoint that is enthusiastically jumping the gun.

Around
-0.5 to -1.5
is generally the useful region.Stronger negatives can disturb composition, framing, character count or scene identity, and they will not reliably overpower an explicitly erotic prompt. If you tell the model exactly what you want, EROTIC is not going to put a cardigan on everyone and call their mothers.
Prompting
You normally do not need to prompt
erotic
for the slider to work. That is the point.Give it a situation and let the slider discover the implications:Two coworkers alone in the office after everyone else has gone home.A bored housewife talking to the repairman. Two strangers sitting beside one another at a hotel bar.A painter working quietly in a studio surrounded by portraits.Sometimes the checkpoint simply refuses to take the hint. In that case, adding something lightweight such as:
erotic energy
or
sexual tension
can point it toward the correct basin without dictating the entire scene.
Checkpoint dependence
This slider turned into an unexpectedly good probe of what different checkpoints already consider “erotic.”Generalist models may require substantial positive weight.Art-oriented or tasteful-nude models may express the concept mostly through pose, nudity, composition and presentation.Strong NSFW checkpoints often respond almost immediately — and can be considerably harder to cool down than to heat up.In other words:EROTIC does not bring the same party to every checkpoint. It finds the party that was already there.
Combining with other sliders
EROTIC has some conceptual overlap with several of my other sliders, and combinations can become dramatically stronger:Passion — increases emotional/relational intensity and chemistry.Undressed — increases clothing-state effects and can make EROTIC considerably more overt.Bigger Os — increases expression and intensity once the scene is already moving in that direction.Used together, these effects can compound quickly. Start low.
What it actually controls
This is not simply a nudity slider.Depending on the checkpoint and scene, EROTIC can affect:gaze, facial expression, posture, proximity, touch, interaction, clothing, nudity, posing, composition, framing, intensity, attention between subjects and the implied narrative of the image.Sometimes the most interesting result is not that anybody takes anything off.Sometimes two people simply stop looking like coworkers. And that can be considerably more dangerous.Adults only. Have fun, start low, and know your checkpoint.
