Pip Gofern, better known as Pip the Troll, is a supporting character in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with cosmic storylines involving Adam Warlock and Thanos. He first appeared in Strange Tales #179 (February 1975), created by writer and artist Jim Starlin. Originally a prince of the planet Laxidazia, Gofern indulged in debauchery and consumed mutagenic ale brewed by the planet's troll sub-species, resulting in his permanent transformation into a squat, hoofed, troll-like form with enhanced physical traits and a heightened appetite for pleasure. This mutation led to his exile from royal society, prompting a life of interstellar wandering, petty crime, and heavy drinking.
