Trained on a diverse mix of artists and imagery, Digital Grunge injects a raw, gritty edge into your generations. It pushes digital drawings and renders away from sterile perfection and toward something more grounded, tactile, and “real” – full of texture, noise, and beautiful imperfection.
Style & Feel
Rough, heavily textured aestheticsNoticeable brushwork, sketchy line art, and painterly impastoGritty mixed-media look that blends digital and traditionalAdds weight and physicality to otherwise clean renders
Settings
MOSSTrained on MOSS-Image-Base, tested on MOSS-Image-SFTExamples made on default comfy workflow with PiD upscaler.er_sde + simple, 50 steps, cfg 3, lora strength 1. Resolution - 2 mpx on multiple of 16.MOSS is pretty responsive to distortion, glitches and art styles so if you want mild effect of this lora lower the strength or remove corruption effects from the prompt.Stating the obvious - to render in this style you need it to be illustration, 2d, anime, etc.Tl:dr do not use it with realistic description if your goal is to emulate this styleKrea 2Recommended strength: 0.9 – 1.2All example images were generated using a double pass with ClownSharKSamplerA PiD upscaler was used selectively:Without PiD → softer, more painterly blur and blended edgesWith PiD → sharper, crisp grit and hard-edged roughnessAnimaAnima already excels at 2d art, so you don't really need a lot of strength on it.Recommended strength: 0.7 – 0.9All example images were made with er_sde + simple + PiD on anima_aestheticV11.Examples can be imported to ComfyUIAnima turbo is not recommended.
Where It Shines
Mechanical, cyber, implanted parts, robotics, cyberpunk, metal, armors, fantasy, ski-fi, glowing objects, dark art and themes like that.2D & illustrative work – sketches, oils, mixed media; any style where linework or brush texture takes center stage3D & realistic renders – adds surface wear, noise, and raw imperfectionGlitch & distortion effects – naturally enhances glitches, data corruption, chromatic aberration, fisheye lens distortion, scanlines, reflections, and similar artifacts
