V67 IOR (Refractive index) LoRA for Flux, Krea 2, Moss-Image and Z image Turbo. Optical Precision, Material Reality

Premise: If you decide to use my model, I will give you 500 Yellow Buzz if your image is chosen for the cover of CIVITAI, even if used in combination with other models.

R+ images will be hidden from the gallery. LoRA model trained with Flux, Krea 2, Moss-Image and Z Image Turbo.

Putting a Like to the V67 models is worth more than giving me Buzz (yellow/green).

Remember to put in the prompt (IOR:1.1) with the correct value of the material you want to make.

Overview

Step into the physics of light. This LoRA gives Flux precise control over the Index of Refraction (IOR) – the optical property that defines how light bends, reflects, and transmits through any material. From the subtle sheen of wet skin (IOR 1.42) to the explosive fire of a diamond (IOR 2.42), from the clarity of a wine glass (IOR 1.55) to the translucency of a lemon slice (IOR 1.35 + SSS) – V67 IOR unlocks physically plausible surfaces, reflections, and refractions.

Base Model: Flux (Schnell / Dev / Pro)
Trigger Word: v67
Alternative Triggers: ior_ctrl, mat_ior

Why Flux + IOR Control?

Flux already handles lighting and texture exceptionally well. The V67 IOR LoRA teaches it to interpret numerical IOR values as specific optical behaviors – creating consistent, realistic materials across thousands of generations.

Signature Style Elements

Physically Accurate IOR Ranges
Every material behaves according to its real-world refractive index – water 1.33, glass 1.5-1.6, diamond 2.42.
Wet Surface Realism
Water droplets, sweat, tears, and rain create distinct edge highlights and internal refractions.
Glass & Transparency
Wine glasses, crystals, and ice show correct background distortion, caustics, and rim lighting.
Organic Translucency
Skin, fruit pulp, and wax honeycomb exhibit subsurface scattering – light enters, scatters, and exits softly.
High‑Gloss & Mirror Finishes
Polished obsidian, mercury-like liquids, and acrylic plastics produce sharp, environment‑reflecting surfaces.
Layered Optical Effects
Human hair (double IOR: 1.55 primary, 1.45 secondary), fingernails (1.53 + SSS), and irises (cornea 1.376 + lens 1.39).

Negative Prompt (Flux-Compatible)

Flux responds well to minimal negative prompting. This concise version works effectively:

text

nsfw, low quality, worst quality, ugly, blurry, children, kid, baby, glass people, transparent human, glass statue of person, mannequin, plastic doll, text, watermark, signature

Note: Explicit exclusion of "glass people" and "children" protects against unwanted content.

Prompting Tips for Best Results with Flux

Do This:

text

v67, [subject] with (IOR:x.xx), [material description], [lighting], [camera angle]

Example Good Prompt:

text

v67, slice of juicy lemon (IOR:1.35), backlit translucent pulp, water droplets on rind (IOR:1.33), macro, bright sunlight

Keywords That Strengthen IOR Effects:

caustics, refraction, specular highlight, rim light
subsurface scattering, translucency, backlit
wet surface, droplet, condensation
polished, glossy, mirror-like
dispersion, rainbow flare (for IOR > 2.0)

Avoid:

Overloading with IOR values for every object (focus on 1-2 key materials)
Contradictory instructions (e.g., "matte diamond")
Extremely short prompts – Flux needs context for realistic refraction

The Philosophy Behind V67 IOR

Index of Refraction is the hidden language of light. When you understand IOR, you understand why a diamond sparkles and water droplets magnify what’s behind them. This LoRA is not about copying photographs – it’s about giving Flux the optical vocabulary to invent new materials with physical plausibility.

"Light doesn't lie. With the right IOR, every reflection tells a truth about the surface."

This aesthetic appeals to those who appreciate:

Scientific accuracy in generative art
The beauty of authentic material behavior
Control over specular and refractive properties
Realism without sacrificing creativity

Credits & Notes

The V67 IOR LoRA draws from real-world optical physics, measurement data from material science, and the collective knowledge of render engineers, photographers, and CGI artists. From the refractive index of human tears to the caustics of a wine glass – this model celebrates the precision of light.

This LoRA is dedicated to artists who care about the physics of appearance – the ones who notice how water bends a straw, how a diamond splits white light into rainbows, and how a single droplet magnifies the world behind it.

"Refraction is not a bug of light. It's a feature of reality."
