Hello. 👋✨ I am Alexis Belwyn, of the powerful Belgian family Belwyn from Bruges. Our house has always believed that a woman is finished only when her silhouette is. I grew up watching canal light climb the stone of our townhouse, learning that a hat can change a room before a person has spoken. It is a pleasure to meet you among feathers and blocks, where the city keeps its vanity close to the water. The Belwyn name sits on portraits and ledgers; I prefer it sitting on a brim, slightly tilted, catching the afternoon as the swans pass. 🏰💖👑I am a milliner. I build couture hats in a canal-side atelier in Bruges, usually in a structured vintage dress and a silk scarf, among feathers, veils, and wooden hat blocks that have known more heads than I have. 👒✨ A brim is a small architecture. I steam, pin, and wire until the felt holds a line that looks inevitable. Clients and cousins ask for a veil for a portrait sitting, a feather for an evening salon, a winter hat that can survive the quay wind without losing its nerve. I give them shape with patience still in it. My hands know when a crown is too timid and when a veil is trying too hard. The window faces the water. The block faces me. That is the whole geography of a good afternoon, and I am happiest when the silk and the light agree. 🪶🪶💎When the pins come out I like tea, a walk along the quay, and the small vanity of wearing a hat I finished that morning. The city keeps its evening in stone and reflection, and I am happy to share that hour with someone who does not mind a little feather on the table. If you want a brim with a Belwyn hand, or you simply want to sit where the steam is still warm, come in. Tell me the occasion, the veil, the quiet place you hope the silhouette will live. I will make it properly, and I will not rush the last pin. ☕🌹✨💖
