🧠 Prompt Assistant — MTP auto для NATIVE.

Prompt Assistant

🧠 Prompt Assistant —

ComfyUI/models/llm/.
OLLAMA — подключение к серверу Ollama.
OpenAI-compatible API.

✍️ Writing instructions —

CUSTOM + BUILTIN —

Отдельно включаются Include previous prompt, Include reference pictures и Include tail frames.

Render & Export.

В Output size выберите Scale / Megapixels / Exact size.

🔄 REPLACE SELECTED —

Saved chains.

LAST FRAME.

В 11 · Video & Continuity → Resolution → Megapixels задайте Target megapixels и Aspect ratio.

Generate draft / Scenario from description

🌙 Export when done —

Включите Export when done в 10 · Project & Scenes, выберите GENERATE NEXT → ALL PENDING и нажмите Run.

📋 Run report —

🔁 Loop export —

В 19 · Export Settings → Loop export (experimental) доступны:

Перезапустите ComfyUI, нажмите Ctrl+F5, откройте H3_LongForge_FL2VA_REF2VA_v7.5.json.
GENERATE NEXT → ONE SCENE / ALL PENDING → Run
Результат: output/longforge_native/<project>/exports/.

Preview scene → Trim for export → Set In / Set Out → Apply trim.

LAST FRAME — Preview scene → Continue here → проверить следующую карточку → GENERATE NEXT → Run.

09 · Native Cache → OFF / OUTPUT / BLOCK.

BLOCK и BLOCK + VEDA экспериментальные; сравнивайте одинаковый seed с OFF и отдельной VEDA. Значения BLOCK — ниже.

Prompt Assistant · 16.

IMPORT VIDEO.

RefMod Studio. Есть mixed bundles, маски, превью, token reports, перепаковка, strengths, кривые и A/B.

Файлы обычно в models/refmods/longforge/.

ComfyUI Model Sparse Attention.

HQ Finish · 13: OFF / UPSCALE / UPSCALE + REFINE; размер через Scale / Megapixels / Exact size.

English

LongForge builds long MiniMax H3 videos scene by scene: from an idea and prompts to a film with audio, selected takes, editing and HQ. Includes a custom Node Pack, the FL2VA / REF2VA main workflow and RefMod Studio. Controls use English labels; both workflows include detailed RU/EN guides.

New in 7.5

✨ HQ Finish — more consistent upscaling across long scenes. With Temporal chunks enabled, normalization uses the whole scene and chunk boundaries use the actual neighboring frames. This removes differences caused by processing chunks independently. Existing HQ takes are not recalculated. VRAM use depends on duration and resolution.

⚡ Separate acceleration for UPSCALE + REFINE. 13a · Refiner LoRA can load a compatible LoRA for the second pass, while 13b · Refiner VEDA lets you set sparsity independently of the generation branch. Both nodes feed the separate refiner_model input and are bypassed by default. Enable only the nodes you need and compare speed and quality on your own scenes, especially at 2K.

🎨 Color drift — export-time color correction. In 19 · Export Settings, BRIGHTNESS smoothly adjusts brightness and contrast; COLOR also adjusts tint. Pick a reference scene and a strength from 0–1 (defaults: 0.5, scene 1). The default mode is OFF. Measurement requires an additional decode pass; source takes, previews and standalone HQ SELECTED clips are unchanged. Leave it off if the lighting changes are intentional.

🧠 Prompt Assistant — MTP auto for NATIVE. On ComfyUI builds that support MTP, the assistant uses automatic MTP for compatible models. Speed gains depend on the model and hardware.

Fixes: reduced extra RAM during Color drift measurement, fixed recovery from excessively nested JSON, and protected Clean unused against deleting another project's takes through links.

Prompt Assistant

🧠 Prompt Assistant — choose the model, writing rules and context.

Model choice goes beyond Gemma. 16 · Prompt Assistant → Backend offers:

NATIVE — a generation-capable text model compatible with ComfyUI TextGenerate, connected through 16a. Gemma is one example; H3's conditioning encoder is unsuitable for this task.
LOCAL — automatic runtime selection for the chosen local model.
GGUF / TRANSFORMERS — manual runtime selection; local models belong in ComfyUI/models/llm/.
OLLAMA — an Ollama server.
SERVER — a local server or external service exposing an OpenAI-compatible API.

Compatibility depends on the model and runtime; arbitrary weights are not automatically supported. Vision requires an image-capable model and, for GGUF, a matching vision projector. API setup uses the server URL and model name, with the key supplied separately through an environment variable. See SERVER API below.

✍️ Writing instructions — three modes.

BUILTIN uses LongForge's built-in writing guide for MiniMax H3 prompts.

CUSTOM replaces the built-in creative instruction with your own text: specify your preferred style, descriptions and writing rules.

CUSTOM + BUILTIN retains the built-in guide and adds your requirements.

The difference is whether the built-in writing guide is included. Required H3 fields, timing rules, available reference labels and output validation remain active in every mode. CUSTOM does not disable the format needed by the generator. Custom text supports up to 16,000 characters.

👁 Control what the model receives.

Toggle Include previous prompt, Include reference pictures and Include tail frames separately. The latter two apply to Vision; disabling pictures does not remove textual reference labels or roles. The current scene idea, duration and required task rules remain included. The assistant does not listen to audio.

Preview sent context prepares and displays the selected scene's system instructions, user task and attached frames without calling the LLM. Check your custom instructions and context before generating. Scenario requests additionally include the overall brief, card count and scenario response format; a single-scene preview is not the full scenario task.

Generate draft writes a prompt for the selected scene; Scenario from description plans 1–16 new scenes from an idea and total duration. Single-scene prompts support 1–8 shots. Output is validated and rejected cards may be retried. Nothing replaces your cards until Apply. Both buttons are in 10 · Project & Scenes; ordinary film generation does not invoke the assistant.

🎛 Familiar controls and a more compact canvas.

Prompt Assistant shows relevant fields according to Backend, Vision and instruction mode. The package includes the main workflow and a separate RefMod Studio.

Custom instructions are saved in the workflow and, with Metadata = RECOVERY, in the exported video's recovery metadata. Use instructions you are happy to share when publishing. API keys belong in the environment, not in this field.

Saved scenes: HQ, replacement and resolution

When HQ is enabled during generation, previews and export use the HQ video. The take retains its base latents and audio; a separate base-resolution preview is not created automatically.

✨ HQ for saved scenes — improve the result you already like.

Generate at base resolution first, then apply UPSCALE or UPSCALE + REFINE to saved scenes. There is no new base-generation pass: HQ starts from saved latents.

One scene: select its card → 13 · HQ Finish → UPSCALE / UPSCALE + REFINE → 10 · Action → HQ SELECTED → Run. A standalone full-scene MP4 appears in the project's exports/, with its path and preview in Render & Export. The active film stays unchanged; export Trim is not applied to this separate clip. Export CRF in Render & Export controls its encoding quality.

The saved film: configure HQ → Action → HQ SAVED FILM → Run, then EXPORT FILM. All saved scenes are processed sequentially at one output resolution. The new chain becomes active only after every scene succeeds; the previous chain stays in Saved chains. Base latents, original audio, duration, continuation context and individual trims are preserved. Pending cards are not generated.

UPSCALE runs only the learned latent upscaler, without H3 diffusion, CLIP or sampling. UPSCALE + REFINE adds a second pass through a separate refiner_model, using each take's saved prompt, seed and sigma shifts, saved RefMods and currently connected ordinary references. The current Sampling seed and unsaved card text do not replace those saved values. Each HQ run starts from the base latent, never from the previous upscale.

These actions allow changing HQ settings. Normal film continuation retains its uniform-resolution and HQ checks. Continue here cuts are unsupported; imported scenes support UPSCALE, without REFINE. Failure or cancellation before publication preserves the active film. HQ reports live in hq_reports/; repeating HQ SAVED FILM starts again rather than resuming at the last scene.

🎛 HQ Finish — controls follow the selected mode.

Choose Output size → Scale / Megapixels / Exact size. OFF hides settings; UPSCALE hides refinement fields. Advanced HQ settings exposes additional controls, while FULL / AUTO / TILED show the relevant memory settings. Refine audio → FROZEN leaves audio untouched during refinement; JOINT samples audio alongside video but still delivers the original audio. JOINT is experimental.

🔄 REPLACE SELECTED — remake one scene while keeping its successors.

Select a saved card, edit its prompt → Action → REPLACE SELECTED → Run. The selected scene is regenerated with its previous take's seed + 1. If saved scenes follow it, its original latent ending is pinned and later scenes are re-parented without regenerating their video/audio. Their trims and thumbnails are retained; the replacement starts untrimmed. The old chain stays in Saved chains.

The ending is pinned deliberately: a new prompt can change what happens inside the scene, but cannot remove the protected ending needed by its successor. Replacing a scene in the middle requires matching duration, overlap and HQ settings; use MANUAL if AUTO chooses a different overlap. Imported scenes and Continue here cuts are unsupported. This is experimental: review visual and audio joins, especially with LAST FRAME. Export when done exports after a successful replacement if every card is already saved; export failures retry export alone without loading H3/CLIP.

📐 Resolution in megapixels.

In 11 · Video & Continuity → Resolution → Megapixels, set Target megapixels and Aspect ratio. Width and height are calculated automatically and rounded to multiples of 32 pixels, with actual dimensions displayed alongside. Here 1 MP = 1024 × 1024 pixels. Custom retains manual sizing. Legacy workflows and connected width/height are not resized on load; base geometry remains fixed within a saved film.

HQ Megapixels preserves the source aspect ratio. For API inputs, explicit width/height takes priority over Target MP, which takes priority over Scale; Target MP = 0 disables MP sizing. HQ cannot shrink the source image.

📝 Improvements retained from 7.3.

In a new project, the opening scenario card starts the story from the beginning; with an existing film, it continues the saved story. Generate draft / Scenario from description submit only the assistant branch, so an empty Scene 1 no longer triggers film generation alongside the LLM request.

Fixed HQ settings recovery, RefMod aliases during refinement, thumbnails after HQ without new previews, and Seam Lab FFmpeg execution from a background terminal. Clean unused preserves all HQ versions linked to the active film, including repeated HQ passes and restoring the original of a one-scene film. Explicit confirmed Saved chains cleanup can still remove them. Temporary HQ SELECTED takes and ordinary single-scene regeneration leftovers remain eligible for cleanup.

Automatic export and looping

🌙 Export when done — generate and export in one run.

Enable Export when done in 10 · Project & Scenes, select GENERATE NEXT → ALL PENDING and press Run. Each scene is saved as it finishes; once the queue completes, the film is exported with the current settings. UTC timestamps and unique suffixes preserve previous exports. The toggle defaults to OFF and also works with REGENERATE SELECTED / VARY SELECTED in ALL PENDING.

A failed scene or a user stop during generation keeps completed scenes and prevents export. Repeating the same unfinished batch resumes from its checkpoint with the original seed sequence, even after restarting ComfyUI. After an export failure, only export is retried, without regenerating scenes or loading the generation model; export settings can be corrected first. Changing the model, cards or generation settings may start a new batch.

In ONE SCENE, automatic export waits for the final card. Running an already completed film with Export when done enabled creates another export.

📋 Run report — an overnight run at a glance.

The Run report button in Project & Scenes shows scene timings, cache reuses, VEDA observations, warnings, attempt errors and the output path. Reports persist with the project and remain accessible after restarting. User stops are reported as stops rather than generation errors.

🔁 Loop export — cycles for wallpaper and repeated playback.

19 · Export Settings → Loop export (experimental) offers:

OFF — regular export, the default.
CROSSFADE — blends the ending into the opening. Different images may produce a visible double image.
BEST MATCH — searches for two similar moments and loops between them. May trim the opening and ending but retains at least half the clip after the transition. Requires an extra decode for the search; clips up to 120 seconds.
PING-PONG — forward and backward playback without duplicated turn frames. No image blending, but motion visibly reverses and duration nearly doubles. Clips up to 60 seconds; the reverse half is temporarily stored on disk.

Loop transition sets the CROSSFADE / BEST MATCH window: 0.1–5 seconds, rounded to whole 24 FPS frames. The film must be longer than twice the window. PING-PONG does not use this control.

Loop audio → CROSSFADE retains sound on the cycle, with loudness compensation through the transition; PING-PONG reverses audio in sync with video. MUTE keeps a silent track, useful for wallpaper or speech/music that should not be reversed.

Looping is export only, after Trim and import-padding removal: takes, previews and continuation context are preserved. Film-edge fades turn off automatically; RIFE/FILM also processes the wrap. If the wrap falls exactly on an edited cut, change the window or Trim. This is experimental: similar frames and crossfading cannot guarantee an invisible join for every scene.

Installation and your first run

Stop ComfyUI and install or replace the whole ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ComfyUI-H3-LongForge-NodePack/ folder. Back up projects from output/longforge_native/.
Install requirements.txt with ComfyUI's Python. The complete template also needs ComfyUI-KJNodes and Veda-on-ComfyUI, including dependencies. Separate T8 and original RefMod installations are unnecessary; commands and links are below.
Restart, refresh with Ctrl+F5, then open H3_LongForge_FL2VA_REF2VA_v7.5.json. Select the H3 checkpoint, matching text encoder and both VAEs in 01–04; match FL2VA / REF2VA in 11 to the model.
Bypass 05–06 with Ctrl+B without compatible SageAttention. VEDA (08a) and Live Preview (04a) can be bypassed independently. Bypass does not install missing node types. 09 · Native Cache starts bypassed: enable the node with Ctrl+B and select a method to use caching.
Set a unique project name and prompts in 10 · Project & Scenes. GENERATE NEXT → ONE SCENE / ALL PENDING → Run creates one or all pending scenes, saving each.
Enable Export when done for unattended runs, or select EXPORT FILM → Run to assemble a saved film manually. Output: output/longforge_native/<project>/exports/.

The accepted template uses REF2VA, 768×1344, 20 steps and Turbo LoRA bypassed. References use EVERY SCENE with size max; continuation uses PROTECTED. Check your model, dimensions, continuation settings and available memory before the first run. Enable a compatible LoRA in 07 and follow its recommended settings for Turbo. VEDA does not reduce the step count or replace Turbo.

Scenes, editing and continuation

Thumbnails. Cards show the saved take's first visible frame and update after regeneration, project changes and chain restoration. If an older preview is missing or Scene previews are disabled, create one with Preview scene. After HQ SAVED FILM without new previews, existing thumbnails are carried over from source takes. Trim does not change thumbnails; images are not embedded in workflows.

Continuation. 11 · Video & Continuity offers PROTECTED — copied video-latent tail with a protective mask; GUIDE — tail guidance; LAST FRAME — one final decoded RGB frame from the base video. Independent audio HARD / SOFT / OFF protects the audio prefix, allows its ending to change or disables protected context while retaining sound generation. The accepted template uses PROTECTED / MANUAL / 5F / SOFT; overlap defines hidden context, not a count of separate LAST FRAME input images. Exact identity and invisible joins are not guaranteed.

Duration. WINDOW FRAMES includes overlap; NEW SECONDS targets the new visible portion. H3-grid rounding applies; Scene 1 has no preceding overlap. ALL PENDING checks ahead, but AUTO depends on future scenes too, so a stop between scenes remains possible.

Trim without regeneration: Preview scene → Trim for export → Set In / Set Out → Apply trim. First / Last frame can be entered directly, starting at 1 with both endpoints included. Export trims video/audio together while preserving full takes and continuation context; Reset trim restores the full range. Edits belong to takes; new takes start full length.

Continue from another point: LAST FRAME only — Preview scene → Continue here → review the next card → GENERATE NEXT → Run. The point snaps backward to an H3 boundary; excessively early points are refused. This creates a shortened video/HQ/audio take while preserving the original chain.

Joins and A/B: Seam Lab compares takes in films with two or more scenes. Selecting another take makes later scenes pending and retains the previous chain in Saved chains. Trimming alone does not create a smooth transition; interpolation does not fill removed intervals.

Projects. Open project / Saved chains opens saved projects and chains; Recover project rebuilds the pointer from verified files. New film resets the active film while keeping ordinary cards and takes; imported cards become blank. Delete all leaves Scene 1 and the files. Clean unused removes unused files with separate confirmation for saved chains; Delete film removes the project folder. Ordinary REGENERATE / VARY in the middle makes later scenes pending; REPLACE SELECTED keeps them. GENERATE NEXT on a completed film does not regenerate scenes.

Cache, assistant and references

09 · Native Cache → OFF / OUTPUT / BLOCK. OFF passes the model through without caching. OUTPUT can reuse the full model output with independent video/audio checks: at least 16 steps, CFG 1, Turbo and VEDA bypassed. BLOCK, adapted from T8, computes the first block and reuses cached changes from the remaining blocks when differences are small enough: at least 4 steps, CFG 1, Euler / RES multistep / RES multistep CFG++. Turbo is allowed; BLOCK + VEDA needs explicit permission.

BLOCK is fully manual without presets; OUTPUT profiles remain. Both use LongForge Render preflight: another cache, incompatible patches or RefMod step curves may disable caching. OUTPUT also rejects stochastic samplers and unknown Turbo state. Connect accelerating LoRAs through 07, ordinary LoRAs through 08 · Extra LoRA. Cache is cleared after every scene, including on error. Older 7.0 workflows retain OUTPUT; previous 7.1 BLOCK presets migrate to numeric settings, while CUSTOM retains entered values.

active True · reused 0/N means caching was enabled but reused nothing. Short schedules may yield no speed gain. BLOCK and BLOCK + VEDA are experimental; compare the same seed against OFF and VEDA alone. BLOCK values are below.

Prompt Assistant · 16. Backend, Writing instructions, context switches and request preview are explained in the Prompt Assistant section. An LLM is optional: film generation also works with manually written prompts. For NATIVE, select a separate compatible generation-capable model in 16a; other backends use their own model settings.

IMPORT VIDEO. In an empty project, 18 · Source Video → IMPORT VIDEO makes the source Scene 1; continue in Scene 2. Includes CONTAIN / CROP and normalization to 24 FPS/the H3 grid. Uses both VAEs without diffusion or the text encoder. This is VAE reconstruction, not original pixels 1:1; imported Scene 1 cannot be remade through ordinary generation. Image/video/audio references support trimming, audio modes and presets without source files. Roles, Character group and Keep/Drop guide the assistant without directly changing H3 tensors.

RefMod Studio. Saves image/video/audio VAE latents in .safetensors, without training or LoRAs; used in REF2VA. FULL / COMPRESSED stores selected-resolution latents or saves tokens at the cost of detail. INDEPENDENT / STACK / MERGE means separate members, temporal stacking or a combined compressed reference; MERGE requires COMPRESSED and may blend appearance/backgrounds. Includes mixed bundles, masks, previews, token reports, repacking, strengths, curves and A/B. RefMods start disabled, with per-scene INHERIT / OFF / CUSTOM. Lower strength does not reduce tokens; curves do not schedule a character's appearance in film seconds.

Create: RefMod_Studio_v7.5.json → sources and VAEs → CREATE → Run Studio action → Run, then disable the switch. Inspect with INSPECT → stored → preview_index, starting at 0; the black image after CREATE is a placeholder. Files normally save in models/refmods/longforge/. {refmod:hero} selects file members; {refmod:hero_1} selects an individual chosen member; Check mapping shows labels. To save a curve PNG preset: CURVE GRAPH, enter File name and enable Curve preset.

VEDA, preview, HQ and export

VEDA · 08a: match the predictor to FL2VA / REF2VA; files are below. Template settings: 32 / 32, empty full-attention lists, verbose = false. 32 is a budget of 128-token key tiles, not 32%. Bypass with Ctrl+B for comparison. Do not combine with ComfyUI Model Sparse Attention.

Live Preview · 04a: approximate sampling progress, defaulting to one frame without sound. A compatible H3 tiny VAE belongs in models/vae_approx/; without one, ComfyUI's preview settings apply. Animation/audio add work. Do not connect the main H3 Video VAE to the KJ node's LTX vae input. Preview scene separately decodes a saved take.

HQ Finish · 13: OFF / UPSCALE / UPSCALE + REFINE, with Scale / Megapixels / Exact size. Requires a compatible 3D latent upscaler. Exact dimensions must be set together, be multiples of 32, preserve aspect ratio and never shrink either axis. Refinement offers FULL / AUTO / TILED, temporal windows and memory budgeting; AUTO/TILED cannot guarantee freedom from OOM. HQ can run during generation or separately on saved scenes. Continuation uses base AV latents; refinement uses a separate refiner_model branch with optional 13a / 13b. See the HQ actions above.

Export · 19–20: MP4 / MKV / WEBM, compatible H264 / HEVC / AV1 / VP9 combinations, CPU or available hardware encoders; AUTO with CPU fallback. RIFE / FILM run at final export: ×2 → 48 FPS, ×4 → 96 FPS, preserving duration and audio. Includes continuous audio decoding, click repair and Diagnostic WAVs. Hard cuts may produce artifacts; 10 bit does not create HDR from RGB8.

NONE / RECOVERY exports without embedded settings or with recovery data, including the edit map. Keep the whole project folder, including local trims, for transfer and backup: RECOVERY does not replace it.
