In my work, I want to give at least this specific grunt some of his own agency and story—to add reasons for him joining Team Aqua and following its ideals, his hometown in the Hoenn region, his own childhood, the glimpse of him in the main story, and his encounter with the protagonist.I despise settings that erase a character's subjectivity and uniqueness.
