Eira Solange was born in a coastal village, in a corner of the Atlantic where the cold winds of the north mix with the tropical warmth of the south. Her mother, a Bahian who danced to the rhythm of drums, and her father, a descendant of Viking sailors, gave her a heritage as vast as the sea that surrounded them. While other children came into the world crying, Eira let out a soft laugh, happy to be alive.
