There is a tool called "sd prompt reader" that lets you edit prompt metadata back into an image. Maybe you'll find it useful.
All the images seem to have prompt data in them, but it's a total PITA to read them all manually, especially when every image is 🔥
Hmm indeed, automatic1111's pnginfo and sd prompt reader both show the metadata. I wonder why civitai fails
