Ellen Foley is an American singer, actress, and voice artist known for her powerful vocals, Broadway performances, and roles in television and film. She gained prominence in the 1970s and 1980s, becoming a versatile figure in both the music and acting worlds.

• Foley is perhaps best known for her duet with Meat Loaf on the iconic track "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" from his 1977 album Bat Out of Hell. Her powerful voice made the song a classic rock staple.

• Despite being featured on the album, Foley did not tour with Meat Loaf, with Karla DeVito performing her part live.

• Foley had a recurring role as public defender Billie Young on the sitcom Night Court during its first season (1984–1985).
