    Z-Image
    I used at strength 0.9 with res_2s_ode + beta.
Workflow you can parse from my images

    Qwen Edition:
Here everything works perfectly, timestamps, text - excellent. Images with women i generate with my new lora https://civarchive.com/models/1862761?modelVersionId=2338791

    V3 Update:
    Enhanced Timestamps

    • Improved realism for on-screen display times and date stamps.

    1. Face Fixes

      • Reduced the repetition of identical faces across generated frames, enhancing variety.

    2. Expanded Dataset

      • Now trained on VHS, VHS-C, and Hi8 footage to broaden the analog aesthetic.

    Usage & Tips

    • Low-Res VHS Look:

      • Use prompts with phrases like “amateur quality” and “low resolution” to push your render toward that classic, fuzzy VHS vibe.

      • Target ~0.5 megapixels (e.g. 704×704, 608 x 816) if you want reinforce extreme lo-fi aesthetic.

    • Higher-Res Hi8 Style:

      • To achieve the “Hi8” look (cleaner but still analog), render at ~1 megapixel (e.g. 896 x 1152 or 1024×1024).

      • You can go up to ~2 megapixels if you want more detail without losing the retro feel.

    • Recommended Trigger:

      • The only trigger word you truly need for this model is “v8s”.

      • Avoid mixing too many triggers, as that can introduce confusion and stray from the classic 2000s analog style.

        V2 Update:

    • Removed digital camera images from the dataset and added more footage from camcorders.

    • Fixed the issue where the same woman appeared in all images.

    • Tried improving the sexy overlay text on footage, but it only generates well sometimes.

Can’t say I’m fully happy with this version, but it’s not bad. Already planning a new update with more features soon! Also thinking about updating the Mavica LoRA.

This keeps your style while improving clarity and readability. Let me know if you want any tweaks
P.S: but what i really like in this lora, that it's for some reason generate almost always perfect hands

Step back into the early 2000s, where Myspace was king, profile pictures were taken with a digital potato, and everything felt just a little bit off (in the best way). This LoRA captures that lo-fi, analog aesthetic of forgotten VHS tapes and grainy digital cameras (yeah, i mix them in one LoRa). Perfect for those who miss the charm of pixelated edges and questionable lighting choices. No, it won't resurrect your old Myspace profile - sadly - but it will bring back all those nostalgic vibes.
Warning: May cause a sudden urge to listen to emo playlists

P.S.S: only v8s is needed in trigger words, everything else is optional to enhance effect
    Usage as usual: dpmpp2m + beta + 40 steps + 2.5-3 guidance
I'm using with UltraReal checkpoint , but works good with default flux.dev too

P.S: sometimes can be some timestamps or other features from vhs tapes (will be fixed in next versions). I just wanted to test some techniques on this LoRa and result is pretty solid for 29 images in dataset.

Also noticed one bug, that female faces often looks similar, will fix in next release. But LoRas wit characters works good and fix this problem

    Description

improved aesthetic, fixed same women face bug

analog refers to film. cam corders in the 2000s weren't film cameras, hence the digital artifacts. VHS was popular in '80s and early '90s. myspace and VHS did not overlap

Let me introduce you to Hi-8 camcorders, which were very much still in use in the early 2000's - source, I very much was using one in the early 2000's.

That comment mentioning the differences of analog vs digital made me curious, and as a connoisseur of all sorts of glitches and image corruptions I asked the free gpt-4o mini about it; in case anyone is interested:

What are the differences between characteristic VHS tape image artifacts and distortions from the 80s-90s era compared to digital photography artifacts seen in the 2000s? People associate both types of distortion and low-quality effects with nostalgia, but there are differences many are not aware of on how to tell them apart. Can you outline the differences in detail and provide examples of terms to lookup for a visual comparison?

    GPT-4o mini

Certainly! The image artifacts and distortions from VHS tapes of the 80s-90s and those from digital photography in the 2000s have distinct characteristics that can help differentiate them. Here’s a detailed comparison:

    VHS Tape Artifacts (1980s-1990s)

    Grain and Noise:

Characteristic: VHS tapes often exhibit a grainy texture due to the analog nature of the medium. This grain is often more pronounced in low-light conditions. Example Terms: "VHS grain," "analog noise," "film grain."

    Color Bleeding:

Characteristic: Colors can bleed into one another, especially in high-contrast areas. This is due to the way VHS tapes encode color information. Example Terms: "Color bleed," "chromatic aberration," "color fringing."

    Blurriness and Softness:

Characteristic: VHS images tend to be softer and less sharp compared to digital images. This is partly due to the lower resolution and the way the tape degrades over time. Example Terms: "VHS softness," "analog blur," "low resolution."

    Tracking Errors:

Characteristic: When a VHS tape is misaligned in the player, it can cause horizontal lines or distortions across the image, known as tracking errors. Example Terms: "Tracking error," "VHS distortion," "horizontal lines."

    Static and Dropouts:

Characteristic: Analog tapes can suffer from dropouts (loss of signal) that create brief moments of static or distortion in the image. Example Terms: "VHS dropout," "analog static," "signal loss."

    Digital Photography Artifacts (2000s)

    Pixelation:

Characteristic: Digital images can exhibit pixelation, especially when zoomed in or when the image is of low resolution. This is due to the discrete nature of digital pixels. Example Terms: "Pixelation," "digital noise," "blockiness."

    Compression Artifacts:

Characteristic: JPEG compression can lead to visible artifacts, such as banding in gradients or blocky areas where detail is lost. Example Terms: "JPEG artifacts," "compression artifacts," "banding."

    Color Banding:

Characteristic: In digital images, smooth gradients can show distinct bands of color rather than a smooth transition, especially in low-bit-depth images. Example Terms: "Color banding," "gradient banding," "posterization."

    Lens Distortion:

Characteristic: Digital photography can show lens distortion, such as barrel distortion or pincushion distortion, which affects the geometry of the image. Example Terms: "Lens distortion," "barrel distortion," "pincushion distortion."

    Chromatic Aberration:

Characteristic: This occurs when a lens fails to focus all colors to the same convergence point, leading to color fringing around high-contrast edges. Example Terms: "Chromatic aberration," "color fringing," "lens flare."

    Visual Comparison

To visually compare these artifacts, you can search for the following terms:

VHS Artifacts: Look for images or videos labeled with "VHS effect," "VHS distortion," or "VHS grain."

Digital Artifacts: Search for "JPEG artifacts," "digital pixelation," or "compression artifacts."

    Nostalgia Association

Both VHS and digital artifacts evoke nostalgia, but they do so for different reasons. VHS artifacts often remind viewers of the tactile, analog experience of watching movies and home videos, while digital artifacts can evoke memories of early digital photography and the transition from analog to digital media.

By understanding these differences, you can better appreciate the unique qualities of each medium and the specific types of distortions they produce.

Great work, would you mind to share your training script? I'm trying to do an old DV filter lora as well, but the outcomes are not good

One of the absolute best LORAs created, it goes perfectly with Flux Fusion 2 which IMO is the best Flux model bar none

This is good, I just wanted to add my experience though as I want to be constructive. It kept generating the same man for me, no variation, but it added a feminine filter to him that made these images rock hard for the 80s but not so much 2000s. I was doing facial closeups and his eye lashes were so gorgeously long and curled with natural makeup, it's amazing haha. Unfortunately not what I was going for right now, but thank you for this, I'll keep playing with it and see how I can push it.

can you give us a bit of insights on how to train something like this

I've just bought an old Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 for 4 bucks. I did some test runs of the camera and maaan i do love tha old look and vibe that thid devices deliver i want to train a lora on that video style but i don't want to train the actual videos. Like, i want a "2010s video quality" kinda lora.

Of course i will you either hyn video or wan
