Your LORA style is excellent, and illustrious is great but has some major disadvantages compared to pony.

Illustrious is amazing. Far better than Pony in many ways, I agree.

But Pony still has major advantages. The first is the huge system built around it, like the huge variety of Loras and tools. Its easy to knock that and say Illustrious doesnt need them, or that Illustrious is too new and give it time. But Pony's tools give it a massive scope and versatility, and Illustrious's innate ability has limits. So yeah, if i just want to gen within Illus's limits, its far better. But everything has limits, and Pony has tools to go much farther. Like tons of style and pose and concept (and yeah, character) Loras.

And IMO Illus is never going to catch up. Its the hot new kid on the block, but Pony was literally revolutionary, and got lots of attention. Illus just isn't going to get the attention needed for acquiring a toolset as large as Pony's, and I doubt its time in the sun will last long enough before the next hot thing comes along. So Pony will stay king.

Also, between Pony's tools and checkpoints, it's right now capable of style (and even composition, to an extent) that's IMO better than Illus will ever produce. For anyone who already has Pony's capabilities and quirks worked out, and has already settled on their preferred workflows and style combinations etc, Pony is right now more than a match for everything Illus can do, and for a lot it's actually far more capable. Especially for consistent and strong style Loras. (I think Illus's danbooru base and focus on anime/eastern art hamstrings it, it seems so far inherently more limited than Pony, look at the results of Illus's 3d and realistic checkpoints compared to Pony's.)

Yes it's inconvenient Pony doesn't do all this innately like Illus, but that makes Illus's major strength a hassle-saver, not an actual better quality creator.

And there are minor areas I just find Pony more responsive and versatile, like for orienting characters and camera angles, adjusting some (it varies) character accessories, etc.

You have a great Lora style in general, I love your aesthetic.

I actually like both version so far, and yes the results I'm getting are so far very comparable. But I didnt run any straight comparisons, and the styles I use Pony for are very different than what Illus gives me, so its hard to say (I think i'll do a closer comparison when i get a chance, later).

The bottom line is, i really like them both, and especially the Pony version is givng me everything I hoped for. So thanks!
