Hi, Did you train this on your GPU (3060 12gb) or cloud services like runpod/collab ?? Because I read somewhere than SDXL LoRA training requires minimum 13.5GB VRAM even with optimizations. Can you kindly give links or resources to train for the same??
@mrghostrider - While you technically can train on a 3060 (you have to have gradient checkpointing enabled), SDXL and some of the newer Kohya scripts work best with multiple epochs. That takes a very long time on a 3060 (you're looking at 4-5+ hours). I switched to using runpod for that reason. I chose runpod only because that's what a lot of tutorials and templates seem to support, but believe there are cheaper options out there.
In terms of a tutorial, Malcolmrey has a good one: https://civitai.com/articles/1591/sdxl-lora-training though this doesn't use the GUI.
@Desi_Cafe Thank you, I just tried and yeah it certainly takes a few hours but its doable on 12GB VRAM.
