The Sectoids are a small, grey alien race, often with psionic powers. They've got a gaunt, skeletal appearance and no mouth. Gentically manipulated by a master race to serve as soldiers, they're routinely cloned in large batches, so they pretty much look identical to each other. While they appear as nothing but hostiles in the game, if freed from their master's mental control, they might actually be friendly...
