Annie Clark (b. 1982) is a rock guitarist and singer who performs as St. Vincent. A Tulsa native, she grew up in Dallas and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Back in Dallas, she was a member of local choir-rock megalith the Polyphonic Spree and later joined Sufjan Stevens' touring band before striking out on her own under the St. Vincent moniker. (She also did some modeling.)

Across six studio albums (plus a joint project with David Byrne), she's created a broad range of styles that embrace grandiose themes but tend to circle back to her bad-ass guitar playing, particularly on the low strings and with more abrasion and noise than her melodies and engagement with pop and dance might lead one to expect. She's won three Grammy Awards along the way. Some favorites: "Digital WItness," "Fast Slow Disco," "Cruel," and "Cheerleader." Her art-rock tendencies also carry over to the visual arts, where she has cycled through a wide variety of looks on stage and off.

Also, she dated Cara Delevingne and did this with Dua Lipa.
