Phillipa Soo is an American actress and singer best known for her role as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton in the original Broadway production of Hamilton (2015). Born on May 31, 1990, in Libertyville, Illinois, she studied at The Juilliard School before making her breakthrough in musical theater. Her performance in Hamilton earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

Beyond Hamilton, Soo has starred in other notable stage productions, including Amélie (2017) and The Parisian Woman (2017).
