Prompting Guide for Juggernaut Ragnarok by Adam
Prompting Guide by Adam for XI & XII
A big thanks goes to RunDiffusion and Adam, who diligently helped me make it work :) (Leave some love for them ;) )
Hey everyone,
It’s been 8 months since the last version was released here on CivitAI.
Of course, I haven’t been idle during that time . I completed several projects to ensure I’d have the financial means to keep exploring new architectures and possibly do full finetunes on them in the future.
Juggernaut Flux (and its many sub-variants) was a ton of work, but ultimately, I’ve wrapped that chapter up. The training process gave me way too many headaches. To keep my sanity, I spent my spare time working on Juggernaut SDXL with the hope of maybe releasing one final version for you all.
And that day has finally come. :)
Juggernaut Ragnarok has improved in many areas: photorealism, digital painting, poses, hands, feet, and much more.
That said, it’s still an SDXL model, and I don’t recommend comparing it to models like Flux, Reve, or Sora. For example, it still has limitations when it comes to text rendering or faces at a distance.
I recommend using it as part of a pipeline for your projects. Example setup:
FluxDev / Pixelwave / Jug Flux Pro → Juggernaut Ragnarok
A quick personal note about Juggernaut:
Honestly, I don’t know what comes next.
After the release of Sora and similar tools, the open-source image generation space feels a bit dull in comparison.
Nothing has really excited me enough to dive back into training (yes, I’m talking about HiDream too).
So I’m seeing Juggernaut Ragnarok as a kind of farewell, especially since it’s unclear where things are headed with CivitAI in general.
(You can download all Juggernaut versions from HuggingFace, by the way.)
Last but not least:
Have fun with the model, share your creations, and good luck with your projects!
And in case you’re wondering: Yes, you can do anything you want with Juggernaut : merge it, train it, sell the image outputs, etc.
Just a simple shoutout is all I ask. :)
And now, here are the recommended settings:
Recommended Settings(VAE is baked in):
Res: 832*1216 (For Portrait, but any SDXL Res will work fine)
Sampler: DPM++ 2M SDE
Steps: 30-40
CFG: 3-6 (less is a bit more realistic)
Negative: Start with no negative, and add afterwards the Stuff you don´t wanna see in that image.
VAE is already Baked In
HiRes: 4xNMKD-Siax_200k with 15 Steps and 0.3 Denoise + 1.5 Upscale
And now, have fun trying it out. As always, I'm eagerly waiting for your pictures in the Gallery :)
If you liked the model, please leave a Like. In the end, that's what helps me the most as a creator on CivitAI. :)
Last but not least, I'd like to thank a few people without whom Juggernaut XL probably wouldn't have come to fruition:
Dreamlook.AI (Trained 3 Side Sets)
Description
Used version 12 as the base for training to bring it back into photorealism. Trained another NSFW set on SDXL (using Booru tags). Then trained the same NSFW set again, this time using the great Lustify Model by Coyotte as the base.
Both NSFW sets were then merged into the trained photorealism model (0.15 ratio for the trained SDXL NSFW set and 0.1 ratio for the trained Lustify set)

Hey everyone,
Juggernaut Ragnarok is live!
Just a quick heads-up: Adam will be updating the Prompt Guide in the next few days to make sure it’s fully optimized for the new version. :)
Also, I’ll be adding three ComfyUI workflows from Adam tomorrow:
One specifically for Juggernaut Ragnarok
One for a pipeline from Flux Dev → Juggernaut
And one for Pixelwave → Juggernaut
I’ve already placed a Buzz bid in the auction for Juggernaut XI & Ragnarok, so starting Friday, you’ll be able to flood the generator with your prompts again. ;)
Have fun and enjoy! 😊
Fantastic news! I can't wait to try it. Thank you for all the time you took. I have generated hundreds of images over the year here and have been waiting for a long time to try the new version. I appreciate the time you have invested in this. ❤️
Cool stuff ! 🥂
@6vidit9 promptguide is ready. Kandoo added a link for you. Heads up I'll add some basic JSON workflows soon if you need them for comfy.
@Colorblind_Adam Thank you very much :)
Damn, I would never have imagined a combination of Lustify with Juggernaut
This is the final version, and I really wanted to make the general NSFW part (mainly nudity) properly stable this time.
At the same time, I didn’t want it to be all boobs and dicks everywhere 😄 — so that’s why I did another training run using the Lustify base and only merged it in at a low ratio, which actually helped a lot.
If you’re looking for more explicit NSFW content (like intercourse, etc.), I definitely recommend using the Lustify model.
In Juggernaut Ragnarok, the NSFW parts can easily be controlled using appropriate negative tags, in case it gets too much.
That said, the model generally separates SFW and NSFW content quite well.
@KandooAI quite interesting, since lustify it's base in bigasp2 , most of the original xl data seems missing, but with the help of juggernaut I think we can finally have both worlds together , let's hope Adan can come up with a very helpful guide 😜
@P_Universe Adam is already working on it. So it will prob only take a couple of days :)
What i can say:
Ragnarok is working pretty good as a base for "Advanced Concepts" in the NSFW Area for LoRA Training (or more)
@KandooAI Lustify is indeed a legendary checkpoint but... did you try Big Love 2.5?... is pretty much the natural succesor of Lustify and it improves it on every aspect IMO.
@ElectricDreams biglove is interesting, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily better. It has it's own flaws, just like Lustify or any other checkpoint. That's why we have so many different ones that focus on different things 😌
@coyotte agree, i would say that somehow, big love decreased the prompt adherence somehow
New version is so good
I feel like someone really needs to put the time in to do a good 3.5 large finetune. I had thought Juggernaut was being worked on for sd35?
SDXL really was the GOAT for fine tuning.
1.5 was also pretty cool. But yeah SDXL was the GOAT, i will gonna miss these days
it is dead? because most of people use SDXL these days.
@ElectricDreams facts sdxl is very used it far easier to finetune than flux or hi-dream
@brahianvalles nobody uses hi-dream.
Good new model and very polyvalent.
Nice work!
Holy f*ck, I didn't expect that YOU would use my work as a part of the base. This is an honor for me
You did an awesome Work with your Model :)
Lustify was exactly what I needed to get the NSFW area stabilized without overkilling it.
Clean structure, great tagging base, and just the right balance between control and raw output.
So yeah huge respect back to you. It was the perfect final piece for Ragnarok.
@KandooAI truly appreciate this, friend!
Amazing SDXL model again. Thank you for your effort and evolution
Amazing. This will be my new favorite, replacing Juggernaut XI.
Update
Adam updated the Prompting Guide for Ragnarok. I posted it in the Description
And here is the Link
The ComfyUI Workflows will prob follow tomorrow
You all still make one of the strongest models i have found truly top-level work thank you for sharing it with the community,
I've been waiting on this one. Thank you for your hard work.
Anyone having luck with DMD2 Lora? im getting frequent deformities. Have not tried it without DMD2 yet though.
What's your settings?it's all good for me
@P_Universe at work now will post later
Hmm, isn't letting me use it. Says dormant and unable to be used to generate and to contact Civitai staff. Weird!
It should be working now :)
@KandooAI Thank you! XD
Pony7 for sure is the next step. You must collaborate with them. Big name, first finetune. Good for everyone.
Big censored models are boring, v7 is the only one, im exited about.
Hi, thanks for the new model! I use Juggernaut all the time for image generation. It’s sad to hear that nothing fires you up anymore, but I do agree that open-source models are in a bit of a slump right now.
I still break out the 1.5-series models for certain jobs, because nothing else handles extreme resolutions properly.
As for GPT: at first I was an impressed, but by the very next day I’d already hit its limits. You’ll never get truly epic backgrounds with GPT, and you can’t train a closed-source model on the exact style or concept you need. Even when you feed it references, you just end up with that same damned “GPT style.” And forget about 16:9
Midjourney, meanwhile, can ban you on a whim if it doesn’t like something. I’m not even talking about porn—horror imagery is off-limits too, as are dark, brutal covers for brutal death-metal or goregrind bands.
In the end, the only real strengths of closed-source models are pretty portraits, cute cats, and memes. I’ve got nothing against people pumping out memes, but for serious work closed-source models’re very frequently useless.
Don't worry about Flux, Sora and similar models. All models are good and are used for different purposes.
I’ve already tested Ragnarok, and I can tell you it’s fucking awesome.
Thanks again for your work, I hope you find inspiration for your self-realization in the future.
This was a really nice message man! That is what I tell Kandoo too. It's freaking awesome.
Do you have an opinion on HiDream present/future? I'd love to hear it.
Thank you for being a decent person on the internet.
Thank you, your work is a source of inspiration to me, can't wait for your next project.
I hope someone can help me out here. I am running Juggernaught XL on a paperspace cloud machine P5000. I have run the following prompt 15 times with no good or nearly accurate results or even close. 1 fully body bad pose, 10 just legs in heels most have deformed legs and toes. no facial details like moles or biting of the lip. 3 portraits disfigered with no torso. If someone can please help me understand why I got no good results after so many attempts? I was under the impression Juggernaut is the best model that is around for both realist models and NSFW?
Prompt: A hyper-realistic full-body portrait of a 20-year-old athletic woman, (highly detailed symmetrical face with flawless skin, centered in the frame, head fully visible:1.3), long straight strawberry blonde hair cascading over shoulders, large almond-shaped blue eyes with long eyelashes, (biting her lower lip seductively:1.3), (distinct mole above the right upper lip:1.2), (toned athletic body with smooth curves, anatomically correct torso:1.3), large breasts in a delicate red lace bra, wearing no underwear (extremely tiny, barely covering the pubic area, exposing a subtle strip of visible pubic hair:1.3), (sitting on the edge of a white linen bed, legs slightly spread in a clear frontal view, head and upper body fully included:1.3), hands resting on the bed sheets, wearing glossy black high stiletto heels, natural soft light from a nearby window, ultra-detailed, photorealistic textures
Negative: lowres, blurry, jpeg artifacts, watermark, text, signature, deformed, poorly drawn, mutated hands, mutated limbs, extra fingers, extra limbs, extra arms, extra legs, bad anatomy, bad proportions, disproportionate body, unbalanced limbs, disfigured torso, distorted torso, unnatural torso, missing head, head cropped, no face, faceless, distorted face, unnatural facial features, censored, doll-like, cartoon, anime, CGI, plastic skin, overexposed, underexposed, double exposure, extra torso, double image, cropped image, out of frame, unnatural lighting, unrealistic facial features, missing mole, incorrect hair color, clothing errors, high-cut panties, fully covered pubic area, missing pubic hair, neutral facial expression, closed mouth, missing lip-biting, standing pose, lying down, incorrect pose, no bed, missing bed sheets, anatomical errors, distorted proportions, lack of realism

512x1024
I posted the optimal settings in the description : unfortunately, yours are quite far from ideal.
Your resolution (512×1024) is too small for SDXL, which can easily lead to deformations. Your CFG value of 9 is also noticeably too high.
Additionally, your prompt should be no longer than 75 tokens. This is an SDXL model with a CLIP text encoder. Anything beyond 75 tokens is ignored by the model or can even result in worse image quality than if you had trimmed it down.
We also recommend starting without a negative prompt, and only adding specific negative tags if truly necessary.
@KandooAI thank you so much. i see the setting as you pointed out. will adjust accordingly!
Having hard time trying to get something out of realism, like sketch or drawing style, even if I put realistic, realism, photoreal in negatives
I posted some more examples here for different Art Styles:
https://civitai.com/posts/16844506
That maybe helps :)
@KandooAI it does!,much apreciated it
Suffering from success
Thank you and your team for all the efforts you put into this. Juggernaut has become one of the leading Models for SDXL - at least it was for me.
I also never got warm with Flux as it is horrible with work with. So yeah, thank you again for Ragnarok.
I won't say "farewell", instead I wish you all best of luck and hope the Adventure of Juggernaut will continue in some epic way.
Again, thank you and keep it up! You guys rock!
Very nice so far!
I can't seem to generate small nipples/areolas though. Even with weighting or LoRA.
Anyone else have this problem?
you are an angel. !!!!
Has anyone made an inpainting model?
Hi, I've always used all your models, I love them, and I can tell you that they are the most creative models I know. FLUX stands out as a model only because of the good hand correction, but it's a very closed model in terms of creativity...
Keep going and don't forget that these models have made people recognize your good work.
Congratulations, friend... :)
Thank you very much...
You've made fantastic SDXL model. Love creating with it!
Used this model on my 3060ti, crashed my PC inexplicably to the point where I'm scared to ever touch it again: Fair enough.
Remote desktopped on my friend's 4070 SUPER, and whatdya know? CUDA error and a crash.
Respectfully, what kind of GPU do you need to run this? 🤣
I can run it with my 3060 (not ti) without problems. I'm using Forge, I can even use it with the Krita AI plugin.
@Juanjo67 Same, 3060 (non ti) with Forge. No problems, even with upscaling.
I can run it with my 6GB 3050 so idk, must be a problem with your setup
Runnin on 3060 ti perfectly. No errors, no crashes.
I probably can't post links here, but found two articles discussing this issue with JuggernautXL (It isn't just me):
'AMD AMUSE v2.1.11 potential memory leak'
'RTX 3060 TI vs 4060 TI vs 4070 for Stable Diffusion'
Both articles discuss the model's insane memory spikes.
Most of you so far say you're using Forge so far.
Both crashes occurred on ComfyUI's UI.
Assuming Forge works similar to Automatic1111 or Fooocus, I'm guess you must be manually fixing the image and probably have access to little to no extensions.
So why does this model not work like other models which are the same size? That's what I'm curious about.
Given this feedback too, maybe I might install Forge to use this model for inpainting.
Model seems great, and I can understand why it's a PC crasher in terms of quality, but the model size isn't adding up to me. I'd think FLUX would do something like this because it exceeds the amount of GPU available, though my friend with 12GB GPU can load 12gb GGUF models and not bottleneck, but on the other hand this model crashes his UI and crashed my whole GPU.
So clearly there's something I'm not understanding.
i run it on gtx 1060 6gb so definitely not a problem of gpu power lol
another 3050 6gb user here, never had any issues with any of the juggernaut releases I've tried. Damn i can even run HiDream ( very slowly ) and get no memory errors
@Juanjo67, 1650ti on a laptop everything works, long, but it works
The model has nothing to do with your VGA. Its simple SDXL, run the same as other SDXL(pony, illustrious, nai) model.
You have VGA problem(dying? diffusion pic gen is good stress test), your friend has GUI problem(cuda, python etc)
I run it on a 3060 12gb using comfyUI using pretty much anything, inpainting, upscaleing, loras, etc., all running on top of Ubuntu Linux 24.04. This machine is devoted to GenAi and is used remotely. If you are using Windows.... YMMV
Kinda cool what you can do with it. Nice.
How come I'm able to use Illustrious and Pony LoRA(s) on Ragnarok? or is it just a placebo?
it's all sdxl. if you use a tool like invokeai which gives you only the loras available fitting for the model, all sdxl loras work on all sdxl models (while flux loras for example is grayed out). At least you can use them. How well they work is a different question. Illustrious seems to need a much stonger kick in the bum (same clothing lora, i need almost 1.9 to see it.
one of the best right out of the box. thanks for charing :)
Anyone else having issues inpainting w/ this model? Applying the Fooocus patch doesn't really work at all for me.
Also tried merging it into a pseudo-inpainting model via the "Add difference" merge (if you know, you know), but that fails to give good results as well.
Both of these methods have always worked with JuggernautXL models in the past. Anyone had luck with inpainting?
just tried inpainting / out painting using Ragnarök, seems the same as any other model I've tried. Are you using any extra styles/ prompting ?
also how do you mean " applying the focus patch" , theres no need to add anything manually as it automatically patches sdxl models for inpainting
@mariedoll123 Applying the Fooocus patch in ComfyUI w/ the Inpaint Nodes. For some reason it was completely screwing up inpainting generations for me yesterday w/ Ragnarok. Updated everything in ComfyUI and it seems to be working fine now though lol. Still haven't figured out why the inpainting model merge is broken though. Used Forge to merge Ragnarok into an inpainting model but generations are terrible. It's been like a year since I last used Forge though so I may have just screwed up the merge unintentionally. Gonna try again later today.
@razr112 ah got ya , i thought you meant using the foocus app itself . yeah it works fine in foocus , trouble with comfy is one update can break everything. why not try foocus .. https://github.com/lllyasviel/Fooocus , and see how it goes.
I use swarmui for generating and switch back to foocus for any inpainting / out painting , i know swarm can do inpainting but i'm too lazy to learn how to use it 😂
That’s incredible model that requires very little prompting to get the right results. But I find it very unresponsive to the LoRas. Same setup with Juggernaut below v.10 follow the loras precisely, but higher than 10 and especially the current one feels like totally ignoring the loras. Is that expected behavior?
I am new to sdxl I normally use flux model but trying other models. What is the difference between Jugg_XI_by_rundiffusion vs ragnarok_by_rundiffusion? the older one has such good reviews but notice ragnarok being newer is it better?
chocolat
Woo
...and the plot thicken...
I installed open-webui last night, generated images using v13 using few lengthy prompts, and somehow, a prompt with 203 tokens still adheres?
Seems like model comprehends complete sentences properly than comma separated tags.
NOTE that this doesn't feel creative. It is hard to manipulate images in this way.
The Ragnarok Model is awesome!!! Thank you very much!
The sample images don't seem to show up anymore for any version... I've checked other checkpoints and the issue is limited to the juggernaut page.
Have they been removed? Is it a bug?
CivitAI is already working on it. We found out today that every Jugg Version was taken down. That was obv a mistake, so the Model is back online in the Generator. But its still no working 100 % . For Example: I cant find Juggernaut in my own profile, whatever Setting i choose. Also you cant search it up...and of course your problem :D
Give it a couple of days and its prob working fine again :)
At least i can say that i/we didnt changed anything :)
@KandooAI Thanks for the quick reply! Glad civitai is aware of the issue.
@KandooAI I cant find jugg either from checkpoint list (1 model hidden due to settings), though it wasnt included as Zavy suddenly dissapeared because of auctioning. All images are empty and no filter settings help, only way to generate is from model page.
@Heim777 It should be working now :) At least my problems are gone :)
For the lightning version, what sampler should I use, and if it's not one I already have where will I find it?
Is juggernautXL_ragnarokBy suitable as a base model for LoRA training?
Do you have any suggested inpainting workflows for Ragnarok?
The checkpoint Ragnarock has no idea what furry/anthro is.
But furry LoRAs are working as intended (at least, mines do. Tried with the six of them : All characters are drawn correctly).
Not knowing what furry is = Major feature.
There's a specific furry model if you need one. It's called PonyXL v6. It is more anime though, but you probably could use it as a base, then continue the generation with Juggernaut. I've not used it because I don't really understand the fascination with furry, but you could potentially give it a try.
Ragnarok version is one of my top3 favorite checkpoints, with CyberrealisticXL. It's very versatile and i like how i can combine my weird prompting style, sometimes long sentences with shorter random words and terms like "memories of past" and it does cool stuff with my flow of mind type of prompts that do sometimes. Thanks for your efforts and good work!
Much love to you all, wish you have an amazing warm summer day. You all live in my heart , in my prompts! <3
What's your other top 3 just curious, thx!
@crypticcommander99452 Top3 for me is:
ꨄ JuggernautXL Ragnarok,
ꨄ CyberrealisticXL 6.0 (and some special versions from the maker of that)
ꨄ The Araminta Experiment Gv4 (what has really cool aesthetics possibilities for my prompting style and desired occasionally slightly psychedelic/artsy style + it has some special aesthetics also for human body, or can quite easily nudge it in such ways, not only "babes", but very unique looks easily doable + variety in general, i know, a vague statement maybe, but it's cool for those who tried many checkpoints and likes something special. It's poetic visually if likes what it can offer, can recommend to other "fake-artsy emos" like me. :P, and to anyone in general who is an aesthetics enjoyer). Here is the link if anyone wanna try it out:
The Araminta Experiment (SDXL+Flux) - Gv4 | Stable Diffusion XL Checkpoint | Civitai
In what order they are top3? Depends on the day and time, they all have their strengths and unique "things" that i like, so order is a moodswing thing. ^^
+!
I like this model, beautiful images. There is sometimes a problem with eyes, I find eyes are created without pupils. This is terrible if you are trying to get images together for a model.
It would be nice to find a checkpoint that can deal with underarm hair and not go into cheesecake poses of arms thrown behind the head.
You can always train your own for this case lol
Damn all this and just fp16
It's off the generator :( nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Bid on it. I already did. Should come back in less than a week.
@createrpg Ig that's what I need to do then
@6vidit9 Indeed. It's a really great general purpose model that I have not seen other models on here manage to compete with (with generating a diversity of people). The way this site works is that every week people have to bid on models for it to stay up it seems (up to 200 models are accessible). For some reason, this model lapsed during that process so that's why it's not accessible right now. In about 5 days, as long as it is among the top 200 bids, it should come back online.
A huge thanks to the creators of this amazing checkpoint! Resolution 4096 with detailed textures. This is just fantastic! With the help of RTX 3060 in 3 minutes of generation.
my problem is that the eyes of my pciutures are deformed. how can i fix it?
face detailer maybe?
prob gon try it cuz i've been having the same issues, always the godamn eyes
face detailer but also try Perturbed Attention
Animal fur has never been better in SDXL. Apart from generating, I use it for i2i in SwarmUI with great results to improve animal pictures with less than optimal fur rendering. For that purpose, Euler even does a tad better as sampler, being less aggressive as to animal fur texture than other samplers.
Can someone please tell me why this won't make a P*nis that doesn't look like a Johnsonville Bratt!!
Believe me, try Epicreamlism_vsvilLastFamerealism and you will be an happy creator. SDXL 1.0 also, stunning checkpoint for everything !
Try Epicrealism XL Lastfame, you will be an happy creator. Stunning SDXL 1.0 Checkpoint
Wow!
Really nice general usage models. Can make all sorts of stuff. I'm partial to V7, seems to generate stuff in the most artistic and most aesthetically pleasing way, at least to me.
An exceptionally realistic checkpoint that sticks to prompts and is able to generate characters as requested (regardless of race or features) with two downsides:
1. Sub-par representation of hands. I get far, far more extra fingers or missing/botched nails than most other modern checkpoints.
2. The facial features are very repetitive, resulting in a low variety of generated "humans". Using elaborate wildcards that create a substantial differentiation of prompts, creating 1000 images, after the first 100 I see mostly repeated faces.
I like this model (especially Ragnrok) and your work in general, but I don't think hiding negative comments would do you any good. on the contrary.
Nice rendering but strangely trained model, lots of logos, text and brands... Not sure it is safe to use on production, because many final pictures have similarities with (c) ones... Other models create original art. This one not so much. Maybe this needs a fix.
Is there a lightning version of Ragnarok?
With so many versions, which one should I use? Is newer always better?
not always, try them all with the same prompt cfg etc and see which one you like
Newer doesn’t always mean better. I use Juggernaut Ragnarok, XI, and V9 — each shines depending on the prompt. No clear favorite for me yet. Ragnarok just leans more into photorealism and detail compared to the others, which is neither a plus nor a minus, just its style.
Wow! This Is Beast Thanks.
Seems to be a good balance between realism and flexibility
I`m a new user with comfyui, can someone help me?I try generate 1 output, no matter what I choose the resolution (256*256 512*512 768*768 1024*1024), my generate speed is be fixed in about 7~8 it/s, the gpu usage less than 30], it trouble me a lot.
I am using 4090, Python version: 3.12.7 Total VRAM 24563 MB, total RAM 49070 MB
pytorch version: 2.7.1+cu128
xformers version: 0.0.31.post1
Set vram state to: NORMAL_VRAM
Device: cuda:0 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 : native
Using sage attention
I don`t know if the pytorch version reason, cuz I use the original comfyui : 2.6.0+cu126 can generate the normal speed (13 it/s in 512 *512)
Thanks
Скопируй свой комментарий и дай его ИИ (бесплатный Qwen например), он тебя направит куда надо. У тебя много небольших минусов
I don't know if it'll help but I get a 1000%+ speed up by setting gpu-only so it's forced to keep everything in vram. It's too conservative with memory usage now by default.
@sausage658 I i will try it, thanks
Good
My favorite model for SDXL, excellent quality, consistent results, capable of inpainting and controlnets. Overall excellent.
0.1 and 0.15 .. you mean like naive full merge, not blocks anything?
The goat, clean textures, works best around CFG 5. Good detail in portraits.
I was asking google, what checkpoint is less artsy & I was directed here. But of these listed, which one would make a less artsy wolf?
Just try them out instead of waiting for an answer... ;-)
informarles de que este modelo está presentando errores y generando resultados incorrectos actualmente.
Why can't I see this base Juggernaut Ragnarok base model to choose and use any more? Am I banned from using this as base model!?
It will be back on Friday. I forgot to bid last week
@KandooAI oh, I see. Sorry to bother you with my question. I appreciate your willingness to reply to my comment.
hiii thx!! one question tho, how do you install HiRes: 4xNMKD-Siax_200k with 15 Steps and 0.3 Denoise + 1.5 Upscale?
Use Ultimate SD Upscale node and feed it with and Upscale model (.pth) using Upscale Model Loader
Just in case anybody wanna try it:
I uploaded my First Z-Image LoRA, nothing special, but maybe u guys wanna give it a try :) :
Caricature Z
Finetune?
@eontarik257 You mean a Juggernaut Z-Image finetune?
I actually spent the time since Turbo’s release setting up a new dataset with matching captions (the set isn’t fully complete yet). But it’s still too early to say I’ll definitely do a finetune… we’re still missing Z-Image Base :P
But I’m just as hyped as the rest of the community and the creators. I think 2026 is going to be an amazing year. :)
What I can say (since I’ve obviously been thinking about that scenario) is that if a finetune does happen, it would absolutely be a fully open-source project. Because the base model is likely just as “uncensored” and I also assume the license will stay the same (Apache 2.0), it’s a perfect fit for CivitAI, HuggingFace, and the whole ecosystem. :)
@KandooAI I didnt try it, but heard about the hype. What i heard, its great for realims out of box. So, if you will finetune, than it would be for nsfw concepts or an all arounder?
@eontarik257 That’s hard to say for now we’ve only seen the distilled Turbo version so far. I assume the Base model will feel a bit different.
Right now, photography and photorealism already work extremely well in Z-Image, so that’s not an area that needs major work anymore. The NSFW side is also strong enough that I don’t really need to do much there either (I’ll tweak a few things here and there, but no pornography, as always with Juggernaut).
The current dataset I’m working on is mainly focused on cinematics (lighting, grain, etc.) and various art styles. But as mentioned, the set isn’t finished yet and may need to be adjusted once the Z-Image Base release is out.
But yeah it will prob be an allrounder again
@KandooAI Thanx, good luck with it.
Awesome work kandoo!
Wanted to share another LoRA with you guys :) If you want to try more artsy stuff on Z-Image Turbo

I'm pretty sure I've found something here. I'm impressed with the images I've got using this checkpoint. Thank you, great work!
the model has his temper... but when you tame it goes a long way, I'm using it to restore some old photos, and ragnarock it's making magik
This model is amazing—I set the sampling to 150, kept the default width and height, and left everything else unchanged. Even AI can’t detect the level of realism it produces. I’m running it on an RTX 4060 with 8GB of VRAM. you are great author
Do you mean 150 steps? What sampler and scheduler? I've done that before and can get great results. It depends. The traditional recommendation of ~35 steps isn't always the best these days depending on the vast number of variables we can change. Keep playing around and trying different things, that's the real fun of it afterall.
yes 150 steps,DPM++ 2M SDE,karras scheduler
@prabas029548 I'll try that. For now, at 50 steps, it improved a lot. Any suggestion for the CFG ?
@tikitikiti 1.1
@tikitikiti my advice is try to switch z image that is insane
@prabas029548 Maybe, but I would need to retrain all my LoRAs, redo my workflows, etc. Eventually I will do Z, however.
@tikitikiti oh going in very difficult way i will use gradio ui it is simple and easy no workflow needed just give prompt generate download simple
Just the Best
May I ask which VAE this model uses? I can't get the correct images when I use 'sdxl.vae'.
The documentation above says:
Recommended Settings(VAE is baked in):
So use the VAE from the checkpoint, not the sdxl.vae
I think I'm missing something. I'm trying to use it on simple prompts for generating pin-up female models in old fashioned style, but it constantly gives me lots of deformed eyes, hands, extra fingers.
You can try putting "bad hands" and "bad eyes" in the negative prompt section. You can also inpaint the hands and eyes and try to rerun.
i see some negative prompts of 'more than 5 fingers or toes'. Sometimes models behave better it will improve if you have more iterations. While 20 is a decent speed, 30-40 may be needed. Though some people seem to suggest 50-100 iterations on some models, so i don't know.
You could also try img2img with a picture of the pose you want, and then have it regenerate the female and/or the background. Sometimes it's really good. Sometimes it's really wonky.
In my experience 1 in 40 generations are good without needing cleanup. But ADetailer with some models are suppose to auto detect face hands and feet issues and fix them. Though i haven't used it myself.
A finetune based on z-image or klein is calling your name!
First of all, thanks for thinking of me when it comes to a finetune 😉
I’ve actually spent the last few weeks building a new dataset for Z-Image while waiting for the base model to be released.
So yes, I’m genuinely planning a Z-Image training run (relatively soon), and after that I want to move straight on to Flux Klein. Whether that’ll be 4B or 9B, I honestly don’t know yet.
At the beginning, there will likely be more frequent updates (similar to how it was with Juggernaut XL). I want to take you along for the entire journey again and potentially incorporate community feedback during training.
I can’t give a concrete timeline yet since I’m only about to start training, but I think a first version should be ready within the next four weeks 🙂
@KandooAI Yea, these days finetunes just don't come at the same frequency or quality as they did during the SDXL peak. Maybe most of them are too heavy to work with or for other reasons. Z-image and Klein are damn good for their size/parameters and both worthy to replace SDXL while being accessible on a wider range of hardware. I immediately thought of you and maybe a few others, because honestly we need the quality fine tunes/tuners. Ever since Flux.1 came around everything became stale and shallow. Glad to hear you're considering it and I'm sure many will be excited to know this. The Juggernaut, returns!
@EsheAI Yeah, SDXL really was a peak era. After my last update almost eight months ago, I was honestly pretty pessimistic about where things were heading.
Of course, models like Qwen, Flux and others are technically very strong image models. But as you already mentioned, the level of community support just wasn’t comparable to what we had during the SD 1.5 and SDXL days. A big part of that was simply that these models weren’t very consumer-GPU friendly.
2026, however, looks like it could be a genuinely exciting year for the scene. For the first time, we have two base models at the same time that offer solid quality to build on and are accessible on consumer hardware. That opens the door again for a lot of developers to create their own models and LoRAs.
I’m personally very optimistic that we’ll see a more active and creative community again with Flux Klein and Z-Image 🙂
I Let that stay here ;) : https://civitai.com/posts/26563241
I'm terribly confused because there are a lot of models here to download with different and confusing names. WHICH ONE IS THE LATEST?
EDIT: had to ask LLM. Last one is "ragnarok" and yes, its not a "special version" its the successor of jugg XI
What schedule type should i use?
Hey Guys, I want to share with you some Comparisons and Images from Testing Juggernaut-Z
Comparison (Left is Base, Right Juggernaut)
Some Random Generations from Jugg-Z
I wont take much longer until Release :)
amazing job
Its a good model. I posted an image I always do when testing a model because it will show contrast, lighting, reflections, hands and eyes. Also good is it's a trained model and not merged model. For me, its a keeper. Thank you for your work and sharing it
I just ran a bunch of images of the woman in the white sweeter and all of them produced perfect hands. This might be a good model to train a Lora for hands
Its Apr 2026, and Jugs Ragna is still my Go-to model! I'm looking forward for an update, or your flavor of flux.2 open weights.
There will be an Juggernaut-Z (Z-Image Finetune) soon. Its already finished, we are currently testing, preparing everything for the Release etc.
Release Date prob Mid April :)
Working on a Flux Klein Finetune as well, but that will take longer
@KandooAI Can I test it? I would love to test!
Thankyou for all your effort. You inspire me and alot of others to make beautiful models like this one and make this community an even brighter place =)
Nice
hahaa
best Model File
Hey guys, Juggernaut Z just went live on RunDiffusion and Runware. Kind of an early access to recoup some of the training costs :) Don’t worry, the weights will be released here on CivitAI and Hugging Face next week 🙂
Here is a Prompt Guide for Juggernaut Z in Advance
So we will see us again next week ;)
