Overview
This model is built based on the architecture of the NOOBAI XL-VPred 1.0, with some structural modifications.
For version 1.0 to 3.0: It is trained on the Danbooru2024 dataset along with Yande Full and e621, and using NOOBAI XL-VPred 1.0 and Illustrious XL 1.0 as teacher models during training.
In version 2.0: I have used the old data along with additional real-life character data more than 50k images from various source on the internet.
In version 3.0, I refactored the dataset and added more dataset labels using ChatGPT o3-mini, followed by a manual recheck.
In version 4.0: The model was trained on the danbooru2024, danbooru_newest-all datasets, e621, e621_newest, gelbooru_full, yande_full as well as a custom dataset (which I collected and labeled using natural language with GPT-4.5, and later manually verified by me).
For version 1.0: This model focuses on balancing multiple art styles (through the use of trigger prompts) and good anatomy when generating images.
For version 2.0: This version focuses heavily on improving anatomy and enables the creation of more realistic characters (through the use of trigger prompts). Note that this version may reduce the quality of image generation across multiple art styles.
For version 3.0: This version can generate images in multiple styles (similar to version 1.0) while also creating more realistic characters (more lifelike compared to version 2.0) with improved anatomy. However, to achieve the desired image, you need to input a precise descriptive prompt, as it significantly impacts the output.
In version 4.0, to adapt to the large amount of data used for training, I reconstructed the model with some modifications. Moreover, I had to train all parts of the model, including CLIP, VAE, and UNet. In this version, the improvements allow the model to generate image styles more accurately, as well as improve the character anatomy. In addition, I fixed the issues that occurred in versions 2.0 and 3.0.
Important Note
I personally reconstructed this model, so I’d greatly appreciate any feedback. Your insights won’t just motivate me but will also help me better understand its strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to refine it in the future.
This is a V-prediction model (unlike epsilon-prediction), which requires specific parameter configurations. Please refer to the user guide here.
Currently, the model is not available for use via Civitai Generation. You can visit the following website to use it:

Note:
I don’t use any post-processing or LoRA to enhance the example images. They are generated solely using these settings and prompts with my base model.
For comparison and independent evaluation, I used prompts from various sources and authors to generate these example images.

I think it have the best anatomy of any model combining NoobAI V-pred and illustrious1.0.
Thanks for the great work.
Very interesting, how long was it trained?
Hi nice to meet you. With this model. It took about 12 days with 4x Nvidia A100 to train
@duongve13112002 It works great, good job.
Really impressive artist replication, excellent for style mixing. It's a little less coherent than other models like ΣΙΗ, but I think it's worth it.
Very impressive. I tried it and found it absolutely amazing. I also made a post to generate images using the same settings in the example pictures for the NOOBAI XL-VPred 1.0 model so everyone can evaluate it.
Finally someone did it, Illust1.0+VPRED, thank you so much!
Best VPRED-Model so far for me and i tried MANY Models.
Can you add a bit more information about the differences between this model and IllumiYume?
To me this model appears to be more "raw" while IllumiYume seems to be trained for more anime/2d style.
Hi, nice to meet you. Yub this model is focusing on artist style in stead of only anime style
There is my in-depth comparison of your three models: IllumiYume Noob, IllumiYume Illustrious and ChromaYume.
Aesthetic
IllumiYume Noob > IllumiYume Illustrious > ChromaYume
IllumiYume Noob is just consistently generates great looking pictures both with default and artists styles. ChromaYume output is too "rough" for my liking. ChromaYume is also weak at generating backgrounds.
Anatomy
IllumiYume Noob > IllumiYume Illustrious > ChromaYume
Perhaps the biggest weakness of ChromaYume. It often generates bad hands. Not as bad as base Noob 1.0, but still a lot to be desired. IllumiYume Noob is great with hands. If tagged artist can draw good hands (many can't) you will have success in 80-90% of attempts. Eyes are better in IllumiYume Noob too.
Artist styles
ChromaYume > IllumiYume Illustrious > IllumiYume Noob
ChromaYume is the most versatile model. It can do 2.5D/semi-realistic. Faces are more varied and can be less typical anime ones etc. Too bad the aesthetic are subpar. IllumiYume Illustrious is a good middle ground. Great variety and good looking pictures too. IllumiYume Noob has great artist knowledge too but tends to "flatten" 2.5D styles into more 2D. But for 2D/anime stuff it is just amazing considering great anatomy and aesthetic.
Prompt following
IllumiYume Noob > ChromaYume > IllumiYume Illustrious
Being vpred noob based models both IllumiYume Noob and ChromaYume are excellent at prompt following. I have a few instances when ChromaYume failed to follow some not very common tags while IllumiYume Noob recognized them fine. Maybe it is just luck but I give a slight advantage here to IllumiYume Noob.
Misc
ChromaYume generates more dark / contrast pictures. Sometimes it can generate dark pictures unprompted, it depends on tags and seed. In this case you need to include specifics about lighting conditions to the prompt. It is the same issues as base Noob has but far less extreme. I never have such problems IllumiYume Noob, it works flawlessly.
I hope this information is useful and will help you to further improve your models. What will be great is ChromaYume v2 with better anatomy/hands/backgrounds and aesthetic level of IllumiYume Noob. Or more versatile IllumiYume Noob v2 that is not limited to anime styles and can do 2.5D.
Anyway, thanks again for your great work. It is much appreciated!
Thank you for your detailed comparison. With the current ChromaYume model, my main focus was on maximizing the number of artist styles. This has been a significant challenge for models based on the Stable Diffusion XL architecture, which has affected other aspects of the model's performance. I am still researching ways to further improve the model.
I have a differing opinion regarding prompt following. IllumiYume Noob is responsive to tags but tends to output unnecessary elements and only generates what exists in tags with large amounts of training data. I think ChromaYume is better at combining multiple tags to create more flexible compositions. IllumiYume Noob may perform better with simple prompts, but ChromaYume excels when tackling more complex compositions. As a side note, there are similar differences between the original Noob v-pred and its derivative models. Adjustments made to bias the art style often result in less flexibility in the output.
@oioioicola Interesting points. I need to experiment more. Maybe it was just bad seed/settings.
By the way for this model I found these settings CFG ~3.3, PAG ~2.7, deis sampler + sgm_uniform scheduler to produces consistently good results with good prompt adherence. I doesn't seem to be worse than original Noob in this regard. Also 0 issues with dark or burned images, huge win.
this model is almost identical to noob vpred 1.0
F.Y.I this model was traimed by using NoobAI and illu as teacher models, which can be affect the output. However, in this model, it haves more style and improving anatomy. I am still investigating to improve this model
@duongve13112002 i know, how many steps was this trained?
@Hugs288 it was trained on 300k epoch
How does one use teaher models during training, this is the first time I've heard something like that
Hi. Nice to meet you. This is similar to the distillation technique used during model training.
Curious for more training details, waiting your next excellent checkpoint model
Hi, Of course yes. I am doing on next version. This version will be a big update :D. Please wait
