Utena Tenjou is the main character of the series "Revolutionary Girl Utena" (Shoujo Kakumei Utena). She is a confident, down-to-earth girl who wants to become a prince because, long ago, one comforted her after the death of her parents. She wears men's clothing and works hard to be noble. Many girls at school have a crush on her, and her best friend, Wakaba Shinohara, calls Utena her boyfriend, though Utena is slightly irritated and embarrassed by this and insists it's all a joke.
