Barbara Rhoades is an American actress best known for her work in film and television, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. She was born on March 23, 1946, and often played comedic and character roles, frequently portraying strong, confident women.

One of her most notable roles was as Penelope "Bad Penny" Cushings in the 1968 comedy-western The Shakiest Gun in the West, where she starred opposite Don Knotts. She also appeared in several popular TV series, including Columbo, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Love, American Style, McMillan & Wife, and Murder, She Wrote.

Rhoades was also a recurring guest star on Soap and had a memorable role in The Partridge Family as a con artist. In the 1980s and 1990s, she continued acting in TV shows and made guest appearances on series like Remington Steele and Matlock.
