Barbara Bain is an American actress best known for her role as Cinnamon Carter in the classic 1960s television series Mission: Impossible (1966–1969). Her performance earned her three consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, making her one of the most iconic female spies in TV history.

She also starred as Dr. Helena Russell in the British sci-fi series Space: 1999 (1975–1977), alongside her then-husband Martin Landau. The show developed a strong cult following and remains one of her most famous roles.

Born on September 13, 1931, Bain originally worked as a dancer and model before transitioning into acting. She studied under Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio and had early television roles in shows like Perry Mason and The Dick Van Dyke Show.
