There is no trigger word needed(all the samples were done without one). You can use 'grace-slick-6070' if you want.
Grace Slick was one of the most iconic and influential figures in rock music during the 1960s and 1970s, known for her powerful voice, rebellious persona, and key role in shaping the sound and ethos of psychedelic rock.
Jefferson Airplane (1966–1971)
In late 1966, Grace joined Jefferson Airplane, replacing original vocalist Signe Toly Anderson. This move catapulted her to national fame. The band’s 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow—their first with Slick—became a landmark of psychedelic rock. Her performance on “White Rabbit” (a surreal, drug-laced take on Alice in Wonderland) and “Somebody to Love” (a fiery anthem about longing and disillusionment) made her an instant icon of the Summer of Love.
Grace wasn’t just a vocalist; she was a symbol of the era’s rebellion and experimentation. She was known for her sardonic wit, open drug use, political outspokenness, and refusal to conform to expectations of how a woman in music should act.
Political and Cultural Impact
During the late '60s, Jefferson Airplane—like Slick herself—became increasingly political. Albums like After Bathing at Baxter’s (1967) and Volunteers (1969) featured anti-establishment and anti-war themes. Grace famously wanted to spike then-President Nixon’s tea with LSD and attempted to do so during a White House invitation (though she never made it inside).
Jefferson Starship & the 1970s
After Jefferson Airplane began to fracture in the early '70s due to internal tensions and changing musical tastes, Slick and fellow member Paul Kantner transitioned into a new band: Jefferson Starship. While more commercial and polished than its predecessor, Jefferson Starship kept Slick in the spotlight.
Albums like Dragon Fly (1974) and Red Octopus (1975) brought radio-friendly hits and marked a stylistic shift toward mainstream rock. Her powerful vocals remained a highlight, though her wild personal life—fueled by alcohol and drugs—sometimes led to erratic behavior and public controversy.

Gifting me buzz is great, but training is 99% done locally, so others could use it more.
