Using the model:
The model was trained primarily on images with minimal disruptive elements, such as floating text, logos, speech bubbles, or signatures. If any of these elements appear in an image, please include "signature" in your negative prompt.
Danbooru Metadata and franchise tags are not used in training, so please avoid using them in prompts. Metadata such as "highres" and franchise tags like "re:zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu" are not used in training.
A CFG scale between 3 and 7 is recommended. For best results, use CFG 6 with the Euler a sampler.
Refer to the example images, to understand, how the model should be used.
The model is designed to be simple and straightforward to prompt. Use the following tag order:
Number of characters
Character Tags
All remaining tags
Example: 1girl, rem \(re:zero\), standing, masterpiece, upper body
Here are some resolution options for SDXL:
1536 x 640
1344 x 768
1216 x 832
1152 x 896
1024 x 1024
896 x 1152
832 x 1216 (most recommended)
768 x 1344
640 x 1536
Lora use:
NoobAIs Loras working for the most part better in compare to Illustrious loras
Versions 2 and 3 is less compatible to most loras trained on Illustrious or Noob, because it got further trained away of both. Style A is still the most compatible for it.

Version and License info:
Below V1 merges ANIMAGINE XL 3.0
Version V1 use Illustrious-XL & WAI-NSFW-illustrious-SDXL with additional training
V2 is trained on its own and don't include any extra merge. Base was V1, it is trained to include newer or missing characters. It was also used for further training tests
V3 is a merge of Illustrious-XL and V2.2, to fix some issues and was also trained to include newer or missing characters
All Models using the Fair AI Public License 1.0-SD license.
Description
Only a performance update, no new characters or such.
Improvements:
- Better-formed eyes
- Better hands
- Fewer artifacts overall
Worse:
- Backgrounds can look more blurry, noisy or messy, describing the background a bit more can change that
- It makes sometimes strange dark orange like images
Recommended negatives are "worst quality, bad quality, sketch". With negative "sketch" giving more clean line art (most of the time). Sometimes not using worst quality, bad quality, gives better results, strangely enough.
Style A tends to produce better eyes with a more stable style overall, while Style 2.1 offers more detailed images with a less 2D appearance. If you prefer images with added detail and depth, Style 2.1 might be the better choice for you. Even if you need to kick the model in the balls sometimes.
Note: Some concepts have a strong drawn appearence and others more of a 2.5 feel (especially with character prompts, giving more drawn results). The price of more versatility in general. Don't overload it with quality prompts or a wall of text prompts, its versatility is also its weakness. Overloading it with too much information can cause the model to produce unhinged results, because it don't have a strong "style saveguard".
In maybe 2-3 weeks i have a dataset updated model, but it only offers new genshin characters so far.
FAQ

Can someone help me regarding prompt, i am trying to create
"A old man, he is a coachman, set in fantasy world, he is driving horse cariage in the middle of forest, the carriage has some contents on it like sack, wodden crates, maybe a bench is possible".
I am able to create it, but it has a very low success rate maybe 2/10 times. Most of the time, horse's two legs goes missing, and other time, horse and driver goes into seperate direction,
Trained on "masterpiece"? Really? Shame.
can you elaborate, what you mean by that?
@Ikena I apologize for my short terse initial comment. Normally that prompt is a placebo prompt, or an unnecessary prompt. Such as "best quality, ultra high res, hdr, 4k, 8k, official art, extreme detailed, highest detailed, intricate details". Prompts like those had worked with Midjourney and many people kept using them with newer models. Others copied those prompts not understanding they had no effect, and/or causing generation degradation.
@GM_MD Thanks for the explanation. No problem, i was a bit confused, what you mean by that. Note: "masterpiece" is a working prompt since 1.5 for SD anime models, except for pony. Even if it works weaker on models with style merges like my hassaku model here.
@GM_MD So that's where those clues came from - MJ.
i don't have golden buzz so i will just wait till its released for public, wondering if it will work well with my loras
I tried a lora first time with 2.0 and it didn't turn well. Is it recommended to use less prompting or other useful tricks make it work better? I tested it with a popular Stabilizer IllustriusXL Lora and had no luck with that.
@Chris2000SP well since i haven't tried this checkpoint and dont know what lora you are talking about i can only speculate, but loras normally use strength between 0.5 and 1, if you use 2 most of the time you will get random noise as a result
@mike090y9 Yes, i know that. But i had more Issues than fixes using the Lora i mentioned on the Hassaku XL (Illustrius) 2.0 Checkpoint. I had conjunctions that i put in negative prompt together with this Lora i Mendioned. It has fixed some issues and did on other parts mistakes that wasn't a problem before.
@Chris2000SP well to be fair without knowing what lora you are talking about there isn't much anyone can do to help you, since each lora behaves different, and you also need to consider the compatibility of styles, for example an anime checkpoint like this will have low compatibility with a lora that was trained on a non anime style of images, if the lora base it's too different from the lora checkpoint you may want to use style transfer nodes instead of a lora
@mike090y9 thx. And for the info, i used a Anime and Illustrius compatible Lora.
Does this model have Illustrious XL 1.0?
No
I tried using Illustrious, indeed, Illustrious has a better anime aesthetic than pony. However, when creating NSFW art, Illustrious lacks the semirealism that Pony has. So, is there currently any way to improve it?
You can use artist tags in this model or use realistic with weaker strength
2.1 is kinda all over the place when you start playing with the nsfw and all that, but honestly a pretty cool chaotic model.
大佬好,我现在是初步学习了sd ,我第一次接触该模型,请问对于此模型的使用方法有什么建议吗,我并未找到相关的贴子.谢谢了
Sorry i can't read chinese
@Ikena he say he is a newer in stable diffusion, and he want to ask you some advise because this is first times he use your model but nothing he found in relevant posts. i haven't used used sd a long time either.when i use it before, it was still at version 1.5. so i hope to learn about the current situation of the latest model.
Style B is now its own model here, named Amanatsu
how do I make consistency on the face? Only the face I dont wanna overcomplicated stuff, im pretty new to this. Its easier to make a Lora? If yes how many images and how do I replicate the person to make the lora?
When you make an image, you generate a seed, Wich is a serial of numbers let's say, just copy that or a remix using the same seed.
Well yeah if you want more precise accuracy and is not a famous character, Lora for it will help a lot.
Usually at least 20 images I would say , the more images for the Lora the better
Thank you for this checkpoint! It does an excellent job of showcasing the originality of LoRAs and different styles without affecting the art style, unlike some other checkpoints. I use it for creating manga-style LoRAs and other illustration works. I hope this feature remains in future updates! ^-^
i really like v1.2 style, always gives me consistent results that i like.
Yeah, for me 1.2 still superior
what hires configuration you recommend?
upscaler, denoising strength, hires step, and upscale by number.
Imo, this is what works best for me; Upscaler: the one that ends with + anime6b, denoise: 0.35-0.45, hires steps 15-20 upscale: 1.5 to 1.95 if I have 832x1216 as base res
2.1 does really better faces compared to 2.0, but 2.1 is still really bad at hands (and feet in some situation)
Thanks for the feedback, working on that to make it better. Next update have also a stronger style merge, so its more even and less chaotic. But is less compatible with loras, because of it
Currently working on 2.2. It have a stronger style merge, so its more even and less chaotic -> consistent results. But is also less compatible with loras, because of it.
Will you do a brand new checkpoint based on Illustrious 1.0 ?
Good model but I personally prefer Prefect Illustrious default style
Everyone their own👍
v2.1 is okay, not a fan of the incompatibility with lora's (the lora compatibility is why I used Hassaku in the first place)
Really good
This model has amazing capability to generate male characters/masculine face with futa body. Unlike Pony which keeps generate literal futa output
one of the best models have used when it comes to prompt adherence, its even better than pony
Illustrious is better than Pony in every way. But it's been like that for 6 months mate, time to wake up.
Why does the 1.3b version of the model generate images normally, but versions 2 and 2.1 produce only blurry noise, even when only the model is changed and all other settings remain identical? I’m not sure if I need to update anything, download additional plugins, or make any adjustments here.
Someone pointed out that using some settings gives images with noise, i fix that in the next version. But it should not be that extreme.
Good to know, I'll stick to 1.3b
@Ikena same here, using comphy was able to generate images only with euler_ancestral + sgm_uniform, Hires fix melts an image, and detailer for hands and faces misses colours. Guess there is some kind of an incompatibility with loras i used.
Tested without loras at all - all good, but with styling loras all goes south
@2125152512551 use on tensor i tested. image size is 896x1152
@hildezart726 yep working on that, it will take 1-2 days, so far i see and make a new version. Already get one that works much better. But still brittle
Works really well!
Imo the 2.1 version is looking way more like NTRmix than anything, previous versions are giving me more hassaku flavors and I rly love v1.3 A.
About the 2.1, the version itself has a pretty solid style and don't need any lora to give you a good result, maybe with some loras it can outcome the previous models but I personally like the v1.3A more
Some stuff is better with 2.1, but 1.3a does seem like a better model overall, this is rather unfortunate (we apprecate your work though Ikena)
V2 and V2.1 seems to have a Problem with the Karras Scheduler? With Karras it generates Noisy Images. Looks like a Oil Brush Painting
yeah, V2.1 gives me a lot of blurry/oily images (with karras scheduler mostly but with other settings too) I'm downgrading to 1.3A
@new7ype yeah
1.3a supremacy
Crap, I already like 2.1 version. It could generate images of Conductor with boobs really well
Does peole train their illustrious-lora with hassaku XL ? is it good ?
it is okey, I trained some on both base illustrious and hassalu 1.3. they are both good but give different style
@TOF_enjoyer thanks for the feedback, for now I still have good results with noobaiXLNAIXL_epsilonPred11, I will stick with that for the moment
@ToonGenAI is Lora trained with noob will working on models based on illustrious without noob merge like hassaku ? so far i make lora with base illus, im quite curious about this
@Hanekawa01 noob is a illustrious model, it will also work on hassaku
@Hanekawa01 they work 50% of the times, I will just train for them separately, since training for vpred require additional stuff
@Hanekawa01 I train my lora with noobaixl. It will indeed work with other illustriousXL models to generate images. I usually prefer "prefectious" GoofyAi checkpoints. But Amanatsu checkpoint is not bad too. Generating image with Hassaku is different for me, the color are kind of washed out, maybe it's my workflow.
good for bodys
Perfect
Very good model I must say. Though I did notice a bit of noise on most of the schedulers. I think Eular a + sgm uniform does help with it if anyone needs to know. This is V 2.1 btw.
Anyone else getting better results with 1.3A than 2.1?
Try using Sg Uniform and see if that corrects it
@cesa210 I'll try it, thanks. Been mostly using Euler A, Normal
@FondantViper for what i test is either SG Uniform, Simple or Beta
How do I stop it from generating character Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist if I write keyword "lust"? I just want that emotion on the face.
Instead of using the word "lust", I would recommend using Danbooru tags like: "seductive smile, wavy mouth, blush, flustered, half-closed eyes, furrowed brow, nervous sweating, heart, spoken heart, heart-shaped pupils, lovestruck"
If you go to danbooru, click to the wiki tab and search tag_group:face_tags it will give you a list of expressions. Edit: You could also possibly try negative prompting for fullmetal alchemist.
@CHROME2D0ME Ah, thank you so much!
@person012345 Got it, thank you for the tips! I didn't know about that
Wow
v2.1 is definitely more stable than v2. Very nice! Wish there would be an updated version with the same quality, based on 1.3b which has been my favorite for a long time.
This is a good model.
But I hope that you will also continue to develop "Style A". His minimalism has more of an artistic aesthetic.
Is it just me or does this model (v2.1) react rather poorly to Best Quality Lora, especially starting with second upscale iteration. Any similar / different experiences?
One of the better anime-based ones I have used. Works well with some of the LoRAs too!
13 styleA > 2.1
idk why
bro, you feel it too? I've been using hassakuXL v1.3A more than the newest. the outcomes are much better than 2.1
@zetaplus92 yep, still
it's kinda funny how it keeps generating any sort of cups (wine glass, beer jugs, tea cups) lol. but, it's a good ai
I am getting artifacts with karras, exponential and polyexpoenential.
Yet Sg Uniform works well with Euler, Euler A, DPM++ 2M, DPM++ 2S A and DPM++ 2M/3M SDE, most samplers work fine.
So maybe the author should check that or put a note in the model to use specifically Sg Uniform.
Simple and Beta also works
In version 2.1, most schedulers will not function properly, resulting in images that are not fully denoised.
I have the feeling is over-trained or something on training process went wrong.
I also notice that i wants to put door frames and doors in several images, without being in the prompt.
It's so heavily inclined to put that M-shape arched hair on top of everyone's head. Once I notice it, I see it constantly; on bob cut, hime cut, messy hair, side swept hair, etc.. Silly when trying 'parted hair', and it's still there on top of the parted hair; double M. Can't get rid of it, drives me nuts lol.
Other than that, fantastic model that's really quite versatile.
If you mean hair intakes you can put tag "hair intakes" in negative to fix it
@MV_QT I re-ran many of my generations with "hair intakes" in negative and unfortunately it made near to no difference. I do appreciate the tip, though, will be adding that every time from here on
@kilvoctu Have you tried increasing tag strength like this (hair intakes:1.4)? There is also Hair Intakes Eraser Lora for Illustrious, but I haven't tested it - https://civitai.com/models/543355?modelVersionId=1132477
@MV_QT lol, there's a LoRA for it? Increasing the tag strength wasn't doing much, but this LoRA is working quite nicely. Thanks so much for your time!
