Bebe Neuwirth is an American actress, singer, and dancer, renowned for her versatile performances across stage, television, and film. Born on December 31, 1958, in Newark, New Jersey. ​

Stage Career

Neuwirth made her Broadway debut in 1980 as Sheila in "A Chorus Line." She earned her first Tony Award in 1986 for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in "Sweet Charity." In 1996, she portrayed Velma Kelly in the Broadway revival of "Chicago," earning her second Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. ​

Television Career

Neuwirth gained widespread recognition for her role as Dr. Lilith Sternin on the television sitcom "Cheers," starting in 1986. Her portrayal earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She reprised the role in the spin-off series "Frasier." ​

Film Career
