The first SDXL remake of one of my previous character LoRA models. I intend to do the same with every SD 1.5 model uploaded here alongside new models and requests as usual, hopefully more frequently. Since this page has now been updated, the original description for this LoRA can be found on the 'about this version' section of the SD 1.5 model version.
To retain the original character style, keep the strength high - all of the showcase photos were produced with a strength between 0.8-1.0. Most of the recommended tags are the same as the SD 1.5 version, however some new ones have been added to get more consistent results with Pony Diffusion based models:
gloves, furry, brown gloves, blue eyes, animal ears, fingerless gloves, blonde hair, snout, cat ears, fox ears, furry male, neckerchief, short hair, bangs, yellow fur, body fur, bandana, scarf, animal nose, two-tone fur, red neckerchief, shoulder fur, 1boy, otoko no ko, male, feminine male, femboy
NOTE: when using tags such as 'cat ears' or 'cat tail' there is a possibility that whisker like patterns will appear on the faces of generated characters.

"...my lack of anthro related checkpoints (if anyone knows of any please let me know about them)..." I've had good anime results with BB95, yiffymix, furrygonuts toon mix, iced coffee mix, I mean there's a lot of good ones, some work a little better than other. Some take magical prompting, but anime style furry is REALLY solid on pony too if you want to also venture to SDXL.
I can also see that your current checkpoint doesn't seem to follow prompt well at all by prompting '1boy' but getting obvious breasts. Maybe it was just confused?
Thanks for your suggestions, I remember back when I made this LoRA I had no real knowledge of what furry checkpoints even existed let alone which ones produced good results. Since then I’ve used and had success with the checkpoints you’ve mentioned, except for furrygonuts which I will try out :).
As for the prompting issues, I’ve found that to be a problem with all of my otoko no ko LoRAs at some stage in their development. Most of them could be solved for the most part but this one remains quite stubborn, maybe because it’s a combination of furry and otoko no ko prompting and it becomes ‘confused’ as you said. Either way, the new SDXL version solves most of these issues when compared to the older SD 1.5 version, especially when using the updated prompts listed on the page.
