Thomasin McKenzie is a New Zealand actress born on July 26, 2000, in Wellington. She is the daughter of director Stuart McKenzie and actress Miranda Harcourt, and the granddaughter of Dame Kate Harcourt. Thomasin began acting at a young age and gained international recognition for her breakout role in Leave No Trace (2018), which led to a series of critically acclaimed performances in major films.
In 2019, McKenzie starred in several high-profile projects, including Jojo Rabbit, where she played Elsa, a Jewish girl hiding during World War II; The King, portraying Philippa of Denmark; and True History of the Kelly Gang, as Mary Hearn.
