    Finally here is a first finetuning test on SD3.5 for NewReality. As always the first goal of the Alpha version is to give a focus to the photographic aspect and textures by expanding the range of subjects that it can reproduce. Future finetuning will focus more on individual components and details.

    The Main Download (Full 26GB) is the AIO version with t5xxl_fp16, clip_l, clip_g and VAE already included.

    In the file section of the sidebar you can instead find the Secondary Download (Pruned 16GB) of the version containing only the Model, so you can use it accompanied by the clips of your choice, depending on whether you prefer the fp8, the fp16 or want to experiment with new clip_l or t5.

    NewReality FLUX.1 Dev has reached its Alpha version, but I'm still in an experimental phase with the Flux component. Working on the Unet architecture has proven to be more time-consuming and challenging than initially expected. As a result, I will release smaller, more frequent updates during this initial period to gather valuable feedback. I’m fully aware of the existing issues within the model, and your input will be instrumental in addressing and refining them.

    I just ran a prompt I've been fiddling with on newrealityxlAllInOne_Newreality40. Compared with newrealityxlAllInOne_21 there are QUALITATIVELY WAY BETTER RESULTS!

    Seeing some good realism results in the initial trials. Certainly feels like a step in the right direction again after v3. But, boy oh boy, are backgrounds in portraits an issue - clean colours are very difficult to achieve, if at all. Kind of forces you to opt for alternatives.

    Hi @3mcg33, I'm very happy that you appreciate the update, thank you very much for the feedback, I will take it into consideration for the future version.

    However, explain to me better what you mean by 'clean colours', because in my tests, both in portraits on flat backgrounds and on articulated backgrounds it seems quite capable of reproducing them. If you have some examples I can try to understand if it is truly a lack of the model or if there is a particular way to obtain it.

    v4.0 TLDR; Portrait test. I had problems with prompt adherence regarding specific facial features. Skin texture and detail on it's own is/are spectacular.

    specs: 16inch 2023 MacBook Pro, Applm M3 Max, 128Gigs RAM

    I just tested out a long series of portraits for v4.0. The skin texture and skin detail is awesome. There's no need to add anything to prompts in order to get truly realistic skin. For skin, this puts the REAL in REALity. Eye color is pretty good, but prompt adherence is either very subtle or just hard to get to change much. Changing the nose, cheeks, chin, to name a few features, is rather hard. Here's a post I made with some of my tests:

    They al look very real. However...
    Skin color is impossible to change with just "{color} skin". You have to specify a nationality. Even with different nationalities, anything in the Caucasian range is extremely similar. I tried; bronze, taupe, brown, golden bronze, (check the photo's for more test colors). Changing the nose to something small (ie not somewhat bulbous and bony), also takes an extreme nationality change. High cheekbones, no go. Weak chin, didn't work. So basically its just specific facial features I am having problems changing.

    I haven't tried full body shots yet, but I expect most features to be realistic as usual.

    From over what image size you do recommend to start using Hires.fix? And with the same sampler or with other sampler+scheduler?

    It's not that simple to answer, it depends a lot on the starting image and the objective you want to achieve. I'm writing a guide article to talk about it in more depth, it will arrive soon. in general I am happy using '16xPSNR as upscaler and 'heun+normal' or 'dpmpp_sde_gpu+karras' as sampler. direct upscale 2x or 4x with tile padding 512 and mask 32.
