Recommended Params:
Sampler: Euler a
Scheduer: SGM Uniform
Steps: 20 (You can go as low as 14 to 16 steps without much quality degradation)
CFG: 1-5 (This model works surprisingly well at cfg 1, most of the showcase images are cfg 1 gens)
Note: If you didn't like the kinda washed out looking colour style you can simply load in the regular illustrious vae or any other vae to make the colours more vibrant.
Description

I doubt that there is really a baked-in VAE in this model. If you try to use the model's VAE, you not only get the washed out colors, but also the random white spots everywhere, which are clear sign of a missing VAE. Those spots can also be found in your showcase images.
Well i did bake-in the vae. Tbh the washed out colors wasn't intentional it happened for some reason, but i liked it anyway so kept it.
Kranos94Â Are you sure about that? When I compare your baked-in VAE with using no VAE at all, I get the same results. There are VAE that can reduce the color intensity but the white spots are a clear sign on a missing or faulty VAE. Maybe something went wrong when you baked the VAE?
lizardon1024Â I don't really know how to verify if the vae actually got baked-in but during merging the checkpoints i did enable the option in forge.
if a VAE is baked in, its one of the flattest color spectrums i've seen. i tend to favor the detail/contrast of LastpieceXL (lighter) and Luna (darker). i posted some of the XYZ results here.
lotophage01134Â Thanks for taking your time to test this and yeah the baked-in vae has slightly less contrast but i mostly don't like very high contrast images anyway. imo the sdxl vae gives the best results but yeah everyone has their own taste..
