VAE is baked in.

Recommended settings:

Sampler: DPM++ 2M Karras (everything but DPM Fast and LCM works fine)
Steps: 20 - 50 (V2.0 up to 90, no remarkable difference above)
CFG Scale: 4 - 6 (V2.0 can go up to 11)
Keep promts in a manageable length, below 250 will be alright.
Although the model does a pretty good job, especially in close-ups, the use of the Adetailer-Extension is recommended for best results.
