Penélope Cruz Sánchez (born 28 April 1974) is a Spanish actress. Prolific in Spanish and English language films, she has received various accolades, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and three Goya Awards, in addition to nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and four Golden Globe Awards. She is the only Spanish actress to have won an Academy Award and to have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
