Art style LoRA, built to recreate the hand-drawn aesthetic, color and style of 1973 psychedelic animated sci-fi film Fantastic Planet / La Planète sauvage by René Laloux. It gives a nice hand-drawn or painted style, with retro colors, unique decorative shapes and structures, excelling when prompted for trippy plantlife, sci-fi alien landscapes, surrealism, shimmering crystals, DMT machinery, objects, humans, creatures and blue aliens with red eyes. Fun things can happen when adding these things to +/- prompts.
Suggested Weight: 0.6-1.2
CFG 6-7 / Steps 30-48 / Sampler Euler A or DPM++ 2M SDE Karras or ... ???
Throwing some of these in with various weight combinations should help recreate the original look. Inverting the suggestion should carry the style into more 3d territory:

HiRes Fix: It can help with bad distant faces, but often (depending on settings) can make the image too clean and digitally smooth, giving it less of a hand-drawn aesthetic.
Dataset: 62 images, 1240 steps, 10 epochs.

Made using 62 manually selected screengrabs from a 1080p rip of the bluray.
Roughly half of the images were upscaled. The upscaling cleaned up some of the encoding artifacts, but often made the results too clean, sharp & smooth, while eliminating some of the natural lovely textures like film grain, soft lines and pencil/paint details --- things that really make the style pop for me --- Which is why I used a half/half mixture of raw film-grainy screengrabs & clean upscaled images.
This is Epoch 9 out of 10, made with the Civitai Trainer. I ran some tests and found it had the best consistency and most interesting results. But the other epochs might be still be worth testing further, I’ll gladly share them if requested.
