The purpose of this model is to generate images with an analog aesthetic, characterized by the following features: lack of sharpness, visible grain, washed-out or oversaturated colors, artifacts, light leaks, light overexposure, and a Polaroid frame.

    Basic rules:

The length of the prompt should not exceed 75 tokens — anything beyond this will be cut off.

Separate phrases with commas, not periods.

Leave the prompt open-ended — do not end it with a period.

    Positive prompt:

Simple prompt, polaroid photography, analog photography, light leak, faded/vibrant colors, or

Simple prompt, polaroid photography, analog photography, (light leak:1.2), faded/vibrant colors, or

Simple prompt, (polaroid photography, analog photography, light leak, faded/vibrant color:1.2) etc.

polaroid photography, analog photography — These phrases control the overall aesthetic and analog style.

Light leak — This phrase controls effects like light leaks, light overexposure, etc. The final effect will depend on the type of light.

Light leak behaves differently when paired with phrases describing diffused light versus direct light. It works particularly well with phrases describing sunrise/sunset.

Phrases like faded/vibrant colors should be chosen depending on the type of lighting:

    Faded colors — diffused light.

Vibrant colors — direct light and sunrise/sunset.

    Negative prompt:

perfect lighting, digital art, CGI, 3D render, HDR, oversaturated, sharp detail, anime, high contrast

    Sampler:

DPM++ 2M Karras Steps: 20 — Very effective, stable, good details with low steps

DPM++ SDE Karras Steps: 25-30 — Greater emphasis on light, smooth tonal transitions

    Clip Skip = 1-2

If you're interested in manual experimentation, try testing clip skip values from 2 to 6. Higher clip skip values interpret the prompt less accurately but can lead to more interesting light effects (sometimes requiring fine-tuning of the light leak weight).

    Post-production Instructions (Analog Look)

    1. Generate the image:

Create an image with a resolution of 512x512 (do not use the upscaler).

    2. New document in Photoshop:

Create a new document in Photoshop with a resolution of 1024x1024.

    3. Import the image:

Import the generated image and manually adjust its size to fit the 1024x1024 resolution.

    4. Add the grain effect:

Create a new layer where you will simulate the grain effect. You can do this by using the [Add Gaussian Noise] filter or a grain texture.

Set the layer blending mode to Overlay or Soft Light.

    5. Save the image:

Save the image after applying the changes.

    6. Resize the image:

Load the saved image and resize it (press [Alt] + [Ctrl] + [I]) to 256x256, making sure to select Bicubic Smoother for resampling.

Then resize it back to the original size of 1024x1024.

    Why this step?

Resizing the image affects not only the visible objects but also the grain effect. This will prevent the grain from looking too digital or sterile, giving it a softer, more natural, analog look.

    Notes:

The grain effect is a key element of this process and simulates characteristics typical of analog photography.

Resizing the image influences how the grain is rendered and enhances the analog aesthetic.

    Light prompt:

    • direct sunlight, harsh lighting, hard shadows, clear sky

    • sunset, sunset lighting, warm sunset light, sun low on the horizon, long shadows, soft shadows

    • soft lighting, soft natural lighting, soft ambient light, diffused light, flat light, overcast sky, cloudy sky
