Wow, your first Flux lora! How's Flux compared to Pony? I already see in one of your sample images Pony just cannot do. Too bad PonyFlux won't be a thing.

Yep! Good question. I'm still assessing but my initial experience is
1. Its so expensive - it feels like its not accessible given its cost.
2. Its easier than SDXL and PonyXL were when they first released. PonyXL has grown a lot thanks to Loras so its very powerful now but at the beginning it felt like the art style was bad.
3. Flux can do a lot but its lacking the art style options and character/concept knowledge that PonyXL has. Flux Loras will fix this problem with time. Too bad training Flux Loras is 2-3 time more expensive than training a Pony Lora.
Did the Pony "team" say they won't make a Flux version? I think Pony Flux would be unbelievably amazing.
@CitronLegacy Yes, the main man of Pony said that there isn't going to be PonyFlux due to the liscensing of Flux Dev, he's going to stick with AuraFlow and use that to create PonyFlow. He said he'll announce this soon, but that was like nearly 2 weeks ago so I have no clue @_@

I did notice the license for Flux seemed a bit sus because its a "Non-Commercial License"
That said, CivitAI is supporting & promoting training Flux Loras and not supporting training Flow Loras so I don't really have a choice lol. I can Flux or not but I can't Flow :P
@CitronLegacy Yeah...who knows how PonyFlow would turn out, since AuraFlow doesn't have that much support, and the model isn't actually fully complete yet (they just released v0.3 version with better quality but worse prompt adherence, will get fixed the next version). The model IS in active development though with new releases every once and a while. With competition sparking due to Flux, I'm sure AuraFlow will be a decent model!

@ApexThunder I don't know the details of how Flux was made that would probably be linked somewhere in CivitAI documentation.
Lora creation can be done on CivitAI's trainer. Training is easy but its 2-3 times the cost of Pony training lol

@ApexThunder This model was made by the same people who made SD3. They left StabilityAI (the company that made SD3, SDXL, SD1.5...) and instead they made their own company, BlackForestLabs, and are now working on their own open source models such as Flux for example. It is basically the best open source base model but it's pretty hard to finetune since it's quite a big model. People are already making lora's it but it will realistically take around 6 months to a whole year before we start seeing proper finetunes/checkpoints using this model.
