Man, another really cool concept and pose ruined by on-site only availability

I agree. The generation only stuff is really really irritating.

Funny to watch Dadadala put real work into these LoRAs, only to throw it away with that messy Patreon setup. Unprofessional and predatory prices. Do they not realise these LoRAs will be out of date in another 6 months and then worth nothing?

    DadadalaAug 31, 2025

@ArtificialBoys, @generated_bros, @MysticFrostwind  Yup, these LoRAs are super early access for the mega super checkpoint that will have my LoRAs. Currently, the 10+ concepts/characters/packs of LoRAs that I add every week have been helpful to me and my current harvesters and the high prices value these LoRAs for both their quality and longevity until that mega super checkpoint arrives!

Additionally, I never sought to be professional with Generativeart tools because I only want a little community who can appreciate these LoRAs and not just hoard them + personally help me with current circumstances that I need more exploration by myself or risk producing low quality, be a worse person or be taken advantaged of simply because I didn't conform to their comfort.

    ArtificialBoysAug 31, 2025

@Dadadala Im sure the "super mega checkpoint" will be just as expensive. If you’re going to ask people to pay for your LoRAs, you need to maintain a higher level of professionalism. The reality is that you're charging for something that 99% of other creators here provide for free, and your response to the cirticism hasn't helped, Essentially telling people "my work is worth it, and if you dont like it go elsewhere". The truth is people WILL go elsewhere. Your work is good, but its not THAT good. You need to drop the ego.

Side note, I don't think you understand the concept of being "taken advantage of", If you call fair practices "conforming to their comfort".

    DadadalaAug 31, 2025

@ArtificialBoys I think the fairness right now is indeed on setting LoRA models for free and the ego has to stay if something has a value more than what they are intended to do.

Though, I do agree with the payment = professionalism, I only ask for my supporters to pay monthly and the requests/commissions are all for free without limit as long as they are subscribed. That said, I can maintain a level of professionalism when someone is indeed considering to harvest the LoRAs they need/want or when commissioning directly when they are not subscribed.

Beyond the payments, It's just request, provide, and share. Better to have fun in the last three processes rather than fully being professional.

@Dadadala "little community who can appreciate these LoRAs and not just hoard them" I have a slight problem with that wording, pardon me for my rambling, I just woke up.

You have and had a little community who appreciated your Loras, that was us, on this site. We followed you because we liked what you were doing. Leaving things available for free, with download options is not only good etiquette and helping maintain the community you claim to want, but also prevents the issue of hoarding, as you put it.

Locking download options and preventing your followers from using your Loras locally without paying you money is literally the hoarding you're claiming to be against. Also receiving money for your Loras doesn't mean those people buying it inherently care more, or appreciate it more, it just means they have more disposable money, and/or are buying it knowing they'll recoup the cash by selling their AI images on Twitter or something.

If you instead just put your Loras up for like a 2-week Early Access with a buy-in at like 1k Buzz I wouldn't care as much, if at all. That's fine to me, cause it allows people to support you on-site in making more Loras while letting everyone else wait the 2-weeks to have access to the Lora locally for free.

There's a difference between making Loras for the love of it and sharing your work with the community and making Loras with the intention of profiting off them. Plus you're using IPs you don't own to showcase a paid product, which will just ruin things for the rest of us.

We don't hate you, we're not against you inherently, and we're not just noise. The issue is you opted for monetary profit over your pre-existing community you spent time growing, and it's disappointing.

I'm not a hater. I upvote and love your Loras when they're available for download. I'm a follower of yours and respect your work and appreciate you making more male focused content in a sea of female-dominant concepts and poses.

I just think you're harming your name recognition in the long term for some spare cash. How much are you making to warrant being so adamant about not allowing downloads on-site? Some spare cash to buy a few extra snacks during the week? Maybe enough to buy a new Steam game every month? Is it worth it?

@Dadadala I absolutely understand the need to recoup training costs and value the time and effort that goes into making LoRAs. My frustration comes more from the practical side as a user rather than questioning your right to charge. For people like me who only generate locally (I have the hardware for it and many reasons to prefer it), civitai's generation-only models are effectively inaccessible. No matter how much I’d like to support or use them, I realistically won’t ever gain access those LoRAs in civitai's current format.

That disconnect is what creates frustration, because it can leave loyal followers—who really do appreciate your work—feeling left out. In the long run, that can shape how people view both your brand and even the platform. From my perspective, a healthier balance might be to extend CivitAI generation exclusivity (longer timeframes, higher gen costs, etc.) but eventually release the files themselves for paid or delayed free access. That way, you can still earn more from your work, while also ensuring that all types of users—local or online—can access what you’ve put so much effort into.

I say all of this with respect for the work you’re doing, and only because I think your models deserve the widest appreciation possible.

@generated_bros I now have a 5 dollar tier with a 50%commission discount and downloading 1 BH LoRA every once a week as its benefits! I apologize for the past me who did not fully understand other users / people and am only keeping my stand to explore more on how I deal with interpersonal communication issues.

If you have feedback / suggestions on how the patreon house can be improved, I will be considering them!
