Well, it's a very retro and well-known meme and common trope from classic anime. Accidents happen especially in the beach episodes. But the actual idea came from an old PSP game, "Kamen no Maid Guy - Boyoyon Battle Royale," based on the anime of the same name.
It's very volatile, I'm having a hard time getting illu to learn about the octopus and what it's supposed to do, so let's consider this the first stage, I plan to do an update at some point, but for now it works.
