Never watched this animu cuz the name makes no sense, how can a corpse make a party?

Originally, it was a '90s JRPG. The characters find themselves in a kind of Hellscape, so they're effectively dead, or "CORPSES", and together, they make up a "PARTY" of adventurers.
Then there's Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday, an interquel in the rebooted series which features the undead engaging in a more "traditional" form of celebratory social gathering.
