Is there a reason you're only using a dozen or so clips? I recently trained on 49x 256*256 129 frame clips on my 3090 and it seemed to work.. pretty well. Have you found that you can have too many? I still can't seem to get a good training rate.
I started with sets of 25-40... those weren't my best. Balance, quality, timing and diversity win over quantity. HunyuanVideo seems to be happy with getting a generalized idea of the thing rather than exhaustive information.
49 is way way way way too many , use 1 good quality video its all the same anyways
Oh and... more videos slows down training significantly! I sometimes train POC (proof of concept) runs, where I go with 4-6 videos at low resolution (192x192), and I'm always amazed at how well these work... it's only when you have something that needs high res for details that you need higher resolution, but even then I tend to prefer clipping close-ups, putting those in their own folder with lower repeats.
We're in an interesting age of training where our video cards are maxed out... If we could train at 2k I'm sure the models would account for that, but many models are tuned to work at lower resolutions simply because no one has 256gb VRAM...

@frosty639 still not off the ground, but a fellow Civitai member is helping me set up (I tried and failed one too many times on my own, just OOM OOM OOM constantly... almost gave up)
Apparently this other member trains with just 16GB so my 24GB HAS to be enough.... right?

Realistically I won't be pumping anything crazy cool out for days or weeks still, but I am on the case!
I'm also collecting more clips for concepts I haven't done yet, which in and of itself is quite time consuming.

Good idea! i stuck with sucking for this set (consistency is key to avoid mutations), will consider licking as I continue clipping though.
